Our flight from St. Maarten to Miami on August 8, [redacted], was delayed in landing in Miami because of severe weather conditions. Consequently, we missed our connecting flight to San Diego, CA. To proceed with our travel insurance claim, we require written verification from American Airlines to submit with our Vacation Guard Claim Form. I submitted this request online on August 10, [redacted], but have not yet received any response from American Airlines. As we have only 30 days left to file our claim, we urgently need this verification as soon as possible. Thank you.

I checked my flight details, which were booked through CheapOair. Upon reviewing my reservation, I noticed only 2 seats were assigned. As someone on a fixed income, an additional $58 for special seating alongside the initial $24 is a significant amount for me. I wouldn't have opted for special seats initially and now feel it's stretching my budget. The reason I'm taking this flight is to attend my grandson's wedding, which is very important to me. I appreciate any assistance in this matter. Thank you.

I purchased a ticket from SFO to New York departing on January 1, [redacted], but mistakenly booked it to Newark airport instead of the desired destination, LaGuardia. Despite having travel insurance, I am unable to cancel the ticket for a refund through American Airlines. Changing the ticket incurs a fee equal to the original ticket price. I have spent all day on the phone attempting to speak with a representative without success. Can anyone offer assistance with this issue?

Hello, I have booked a multi-carrier international flight from Cleveland to Bengaluru with American Airlines, followed by Etihad and Jet Airways. I am curious about the minimum allowed free baggage and the cost for additional baggage. If I pay for extra baggage with the initial airline (American Airlines), will I also need to pay for it with the subsequent airlines? I would appreciate it if you could provide me with detailed information specific to my travel route. Thank you.

I had a trip planned to Nairobi last weekend, originating in San Antonio, TX on March . Initially, my flight was delayed and rebooked, causing me to miss my London connection. I was rebooked on flights to London and then Nairobi but wasn't issued boarding passes ahead of time. Upon reaching Dallas, I received a hotel and food voucher due to the delays. On the following Saturday, my London flight was delayed significantly, jeopardizing my Nairobi connection. Given the short trip duration and further delays, I decided not to proceed and was flown back to San Antonio. I am seeking a refund of $ for the Nairobi flight. At the San Antonio airport, the agent raised concerns regarding my passport expiration in May but upon showing my EVisa approved on March th, the issue was seemingly resolved. In Dallas, despite having the EVisa, I encountered difficulty during check-in. Melissa Y. and Nikolai A. were involved but I was not allowed to speak to a supervisor. This vastly differed from the excellent service my husband received from Iceland Air when facing a similar passport problem during his trip to Iceland this weekend. My experience with American Airlines was disappointing, and I have never encountered such poor customer service with Southwest or Delta. Thank you for considering a refund for the flight disruptions. Sharon N.

About a month ago, I contacted American Airlines to use a $[redacted] voucher from a previous flight change. Despite my voucher being stolen in Brussels, the agent patiently assisted me in locating the information required. After finding a photo of the voucher, the agent instructed me to mail it in before a specific date. With the voucher details sorted, I booked a flight from Guadalajara to Savannah with the agent's help. Although I upgraded to Business class for the first leg and tried to upgrade to First class for the second leg using my [redacted] mile upgrades, the upgrade was not available on the American Airlines App the night before my morning flight. Upon calling, I was informed that my Gold status was lost, so my upgrades were invalid, and my voucher was not accepted, leaving my reservation in question. Despite my efforts to resolve the issue with customer service through phone and email, no satisfactory response has been received yet.

I am Vijayakumar K, an employee at State Bank of Travancore in Trivandrum. As a 28-year-old clerk, I recently had my first flight experience and became drawn to a career as a pilot. However, after researching various aviation schools in India, the costs are beyond my means. With existing loan commitments due to my sister's marriage and my salary covering hefty EMIs, funding pilot training seems unattainable. I kindly seek sponsorship to pursue my dream of becoming a pilot, assuring repayment upon successful employment. Your support is my sole hope, and I approach this request with sincere intentions. For further communication, please reach me at +[redacted]35. An early response is greatly appreciated.

Our son, Hans Longacre, just landed in Haneda, Tokyo and has a 7-hour layover. The American Airlines agent in Dallas told him not to collect his bag at Haneda since it's checked through to Osaka. However, American Airlines called me to say he should get his bag now. Hans' phone is out of service, and I can't reach him; his next flight on JAL departs from a different terminal. Flight [redacted] to Osaka leaves at 7:15 a.m. Japan time on Thursday, September 8. He needs to collect his bag at the American Airlines claim at Haneda and proceed with customs. Please assist in informing him promptly, as he received incorrect information in Dallas. Hans is 22 years old and will be studying in Kyoto for a year.

Hello, During our vacation in Greenville, South Carolina, traveling from Toronto, Ontario, everything was great until our return trip. We had a layover in Charlotte, which ended up being over 15 hours long. We arrived in Charlotte around 6:50 AM, feeling extremely exhausted. Despite trying to find a quicker flight for over 3 hours, the earliest available was the next morning, which would have caused my kids to miss their first day of school. Unfortunately, our family had a crisis afterwards, which is why I am reaching out now. This experience was incredibly frustrating for us, especially with the added stress of work commitments and the kids' school schedules. The flight number was AA4461.

I have a flight tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. from Miami to Buenos Aires, booked through American Airlines but operated by Latam. After trying several times to check in on Latam's website with no success, I called and was informed that because I booked through AA, I couldn't check in. When I called AA, they said they couldn't check me in because the flight was operated by Latam. I require this issue to be resolved promptly so I can check in and select seats for myself and María Julieta Lambiase, my girlfriend. If not, I will have to take legal action for damages. Juan Carmelo Matias Perrotta, Phone [redacted]11. AA Booking Code: WZWPIM, Latam Code: WVCJRV. María Julieta Lambiase AA Code: XARZWM, Latam Code: EQZMKK.

Hello, my name is Princess Selena Gomez, and the singer Sia came to American Airlines in Milan, Italy, and the police in Los Angeles, and my father Jan Clod Van Dam is an actor who uses a helicopter. Please help me with my documents for my passport and for my brother Martin Angelov. The police called my phone from Bank of America. My relationships are in danger. Today, I am terrified because someone is in my bathroom with my baby boiling water. My baby is alive and one year old, speaking and asking for help. Please help me. Bulgarians and gypsies want to hurt us. They eat the bodies of actress Angelina Jolie and actor Brad Pitt. They harm children and famous people like us that are on TV. They want to silence me. They found contaminated bread and a product similar to Coca-Cola and Pepsi. Please help me. My home is in Los Angeles now, not in Milan, Italy.

I purchased a first-class non-refundable ticket on American Airlines for my niece flying from DFW Airport to Phoenix, AZ. I am experiencing issues regarding the timing of placing the ticket on hold and the actual purchase date. Although I cancelled the trip due to my niece deceiving me to attend a friend's graduation in CA, I am now seeking a refund or the option to use the ticket within a year. Despite being assured an automatic refund by an airline representative upon cancellation, I was later informed I needed to fill out a refund request form. The complication arises as the ticket is in my niece's name, and the airline requires her contact information, which I cannot provide since I am the one who booked the ticket. Thank you, Barbara Morris.

My flight from Greenville to Chicago was delayed, causing a missed connection due to bad weather. We were rerouted to Indy, my final destination, but I wasn't allowed off the plane with my valet bag. I reluctantly flew back to Chicago for a connecting flight after a brief stop and refueling. Unfortunately, my flight back to Indy was canceled, leaving me stranded. I ended up staying at the Hilton Hotel near the airport at my own expense. It was an unexpected cost as I was already financially stretched after my daughter's college graduation. Thankfully, I eventually flew out at 9:55 pm to Indy, where my husband picked me up after making multiple trips due to the flight changes. I kindly request a reimbursement for the unplanned hotel expenses. Thank you.

I made a booking on May 15 for my 6-year-old daughter, Ray-Ann S.B., to travel from Curacao to Miami on May 21, continuing to San Juan on the same day. Additionally, I booked a one-way trip from San Juan back to Miami. The record locator for the Cur-Mia-Sju ticket is KGWQVT and the one-way SJU-MIA is MNVQIO. Due to a law in Curacao, minors are not allowed to miss school unless it's during a break. I'd like to request a name change on the tickets for my wife, Ana B.S., to use on May 30 for a trip from Miami to Montego Bay, Jamaica, and return on June 1, [redacted]. We will then fly back to Curacao on June 2, [redacted]. My flights are booked separately and paid by my company. I will travel Cur-Mia-SJU on May 21 with record locator AA/RBOUJA. For the MIA-SJU part on the same day, I have a record locator AA/FFWNFI. The Montego Bay portion on May 30 has record locator CSAIFO. Please guide me on the process. Thank you. Best regards, R.S. I would like to share my recent travel experience with American Airlines from Frankfurt to IAH with a stop in DFW on May 8, [redacted] on flight AA71. Our flight was diverted to ORD due to mechanical reasons, where we went through customs and were rebooked. The entire staff, both on the planes and in the terminals, acted professionally and were friendly and helpful throughout the process. I especially want to thank the agent who rebooked our flight, although I did not catch his name, it began with the letter R. He took care of our luggage and rebooked us on a direct flight to Houston, even providing food vouchers to help ease the extended travel time. Thanks to the staff, our journey was less stressful and more relaxing, especially for my 86-year-old mother. Many thanks to all involved. Heleen O. Woodville, Texas

I have a booked a non-stop flight using points from Lima, Peru to JFK. I have work obligations on June 5th and need to arrive by 9:05 PM. American Airlines flight [redacted] operated by Latam was the original flight. My options are to stay on the original flight, be reassigned to another airline such as Delta or United arriving around 9:00 PM, receive half the miles credited back to my AA account, get an upgrade to First Class for the inconvenience, or decide to no longer be an American Airlines customer. Please contact me by email to discuss the resolution. Thank you, Robert D. Costa.

I am writing to share my recent unfortunate experience with my damaged baggage. I am a Royal Caribbean cruise line employee who noticed severe damage to my suitcase when returning from Freeport to Miami on 04/23/[redacted]. Despite reporting the issue and receiving a repair offer, it was impractical due to my imminent European voyage. Traveling to Dublin on May 15th, I sought assistance at the airport, only to face unhelpful advice and confusion from American Airlines staff. After a stressful and frustrating ordeal, I eventually had to surrender my bag at the airport. The lack of assistance and poor handling of the situation by the airline staff in Dublin left me disappointed and reluctant to use their services again. I hope for compensation for my lost suitcase and time, and I share my story to prevent others from facing similar letdowns.
