I lost my job on 7/15 and was approved for benefits, receiving only one payment. However, after providing a doctor's note stating I couldn't work, I was deemed ineligible. I have since recovered and can go back to my previous job, where I can perform tasks safely despite some physical limitations. I have done occasional work for a client but not officially on their payroll, making it hard to report my earnings. I rarely rely on unemployment benefits and really need assistance with the system. Thank you.

I am currently deciding whether to submit a request for reconsideration by January 15th. I have a query about obtaining a copy of the written transcript from the appeal hearing on December 21. I read MN Statute [redacted].[redacted], subdivision 2 but am unsure if I can request the hearing transcripts before or after the reconsideration request. Additionally, I am unsure about the good cause requirement for failing to participate in the hearing. Despite being well-prepared with organized documents, questions for the judge and former employer, and notes, I found myself unable to present my case effectively during the hearing. I am uncertain about how to address the judge's ruling on the relevance of certain text message conversations and if I can resubmit them in a different format. Since I do not have legal representation, understanding the statutes and submitting evidence correctly has been challenging. I am also contemplating if my husband could represent me if a new hearing is granted. Thank you for your assistance. Amber T.

I submitted my benefits application four weeks ago. I can confirm that funds are available in my account, showing the eligible amount per week. Despite requesting payment weekly, I have not received any funds yet. I am uncertain about the possible reasons for this delay or if there are outstanding issues requiring attention. Securing this income is crucial for my financial stability until I find new employment. I urgently need to discuss my account status with a representative to resolve this matter and initiate the payment of the benefits owed to me.

I recently applied for unemployment, but I couldn't find a section to input my income from self-employment. I work 25 hours weekly as an employee and the rest of my work is self-employed. After reporting only my regular employment income, it indicates I should receive $[redacted]. If I earn more than $[redacted] in self-employment income but less than $32, does that mean I won't get the $[redacted] even though my main job laid me off due to COVID-19? It seems odd that I earn $[redacted] a week as an employee and can't get any benefits just because I might make $[redacted] in self-employment. Is this accurate? Also, I need to report my self-employed hours and income, but I don't see where to do it after already submitting my application. I checked the "self-employed" box, but there wasn't a place to enter that information. I find this process very confusing.

As an independent contractor with Lyft, I've been unable to work since March 16th. I've been struggling to apply for benefits, but the automated system keeps disconnecting me when I call for help. I'm stuck in the application process due to our irregular payment schedule, feeling helpless and vulnerable. No one has been responsive to my calls or texts, making the situation feel desperate. I have health issues and no insurance, so I'm in a tough spot. The system seems to be failing me. Please assist. Email: [redacted] Phone: [redacted] (Please leave a message) I have been mostly without work since mid-March. Your support is crucial.

I have been working two jobs, but I am only receiving benefits for one job on my list. This has led to me not receiving enough money to cover my bills and rent, and the benefit is only based on the job I didn't file for unemployment with. I have been attempting to contact the Minnesota unemployment insurance office, but the phone number provided is constantly busy. I have been trying for the past two consecutive days without success. Additionally, I have sent in the required information for the second job that is not showing up in my records.

I've been attempting to email you the necessary documents to receive my benefits, but the email address www.uimn.org seems to be invalid. I have also tried calling without success. I asked for the document cover page to be sent to me, but I have not received it. I'm now entering the second week without any benefits. My email address is [redacted]

Hello, I'm Vicki Yovetich, a substitute teacher for the Anoka-Hennepin School District. I require assistance with my unemployment application due to Covid-19. My husband recently underwent a triple heart bypass, making us high-risk and needing to isolate. I am unable to seek another job presently. As a native Minnesotan who recently applied for unemployment due to being furloughed, I wanted to share my situation. I have been with International Studies Abroad for 17 years but came back to Minnesota in February [redacted] after living abroad in Spain. My employer, now part of WorldStrides, allowed me to work remotely from Minnesota after acquiring the company. Unfortunately, with the impact of COVID-19 on the study abroad industry, I was furloughed from my role as Associate Dean of Academics. Despite my child support obligations in Spain, the system is not accounting for this in my eligibility for unemployment benefits. I believe I should qualify based on my length of service and recent pay history. I would appreciate clarification on my eligibility status and benefit amount as there seems to be a discrepancy between what my employer believes and what the online system is showing.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, my work hours were cut in half, so I applied for Unemployment Insurance at the end of March. Despite being eligible for the program and having 7 weeks of benefit requests in the system, I have not received any payments. I've contacted the UI office three times, submitted all required paystubs, and was informed the issue would be resolved by 4/27/[redacted]. When I followed up in mid-May, I was advised to be patient. It's been almost a month past the resolution date, and I am still without any financial assistance. As the primary caregiver of a newborn, I urgently need these benefits to avoid financial turmoil. I implore someone capable of making decisions to address my case promptly. The delay is unbearable, and my livelihood is at stake. Please prioritize my situation and provide a swift resolution.

Hello, I submitted my unemployment application in late June and was informed that I qualified to receive benefits. However, as of July 14th, I have not received the payment in my designated checking account. Even though the website indicates a decrease in my maximum benefit amount, suggesting the payment was processed, it has not shown up in my bank account. I am still awaiting my unemployment benefit. Update: Following advice from an email, I tried contacting MN Unemployment directly. Unfortunately, I have spent over 2 hours on hold during three different attempts. I would appreciate any assistance you can provide. Regards, L. Wojciechowski

I already have a claim and a hearing scheduled. I have a seasonal job at Halo Transportation. If it weren't for COVID-19, I would have worked the whole summer. Normally, my school starts on September 3rd, but due to the pandemic, I have been out of work. I believe I should be eligible for benefits. I have been unable to find any information on my case page or get assistance from employees at MN Unemployment Insurance. I am 65 years old, turning 66, and not very familiar with computers. I feel that your system may be discriminatory towards older individuals. The loss of income due to COVID-19 has caused financial hardship. I would appreciate guidance and assistance to provide all the necessary details for my situation. I feel that your system may not be accommodating to the needs of elderly individuals like me. Sincerely, Robert J. Olivieri.

Sixteen weeks ago, I relocated from Minnesota to Wisconsin. Unfortunately, I haven't received any benefits yet. Wisconsin mentioned sending some form called ucb5 to you. Despite being approved by Wisconsin, the delay caused by Minnesota not sending the necessary forms is making it difficult for me to afford basic necessities like food and clothing. Wisconsin informed me that once they receive the required information from Minnesota, I will be able to access my benefits. This situation is putting me in a tough spot, especially with four kids to support. I hope the matter gets resolved soon. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Daniel Jaje.

I exhausted my unemployment benefits in September due to being unemployed because of Covid-19. The Mayor of Duluth made budget cuts that led to the closure of Lester Park Golf Course managed by Billy Casper Golf. I was jobless until just before Thanksgiving when I secured a seasonal job at Duluth Pack, which has now become a permanent position. I believe I should qualify for unemployment benefits from September to November as I had no work due to Covid-19. Could you advise me on how to get approved for these weeks and receive the payments I've been claiming? Email me at [redacted] for your response. Details: Initials Christine Marie D. DOB: 05/04/[redacted] SSN: [redacted] Current phone: [redacted]

I updated my bank information at the end of February. Following that, my account was locked, and I received a letter instructing me to submit my weekly requests by mail. I complied by mailing back the weekly requests as asked. Additionally, I had to send my identification through the mail for verification, which confirmed my identity successfully. Despite meeting all the requirements, I have not received 5 payments between March 7, [redacted], and April 16, [redacted]. I received 3 consecutive payments after a delay, but now my payment date and amount have been reset to zero for April 3rd, requiring me to reapply. I faced a similar issue in December when the payment request button was missing from my screen, causing a 6-week delay in payments at that time. I am experiencing the same problem again, and it is distressing as I have five children to feed and bills to pay. It is frustrating that I cannot get a satisfactory answer when I call for support, and I am unable to log in or request payment currently. I hope to receive assistance soon as this situation is becoming increasingly unfair.

Every week, I struggle to access my account despite numerous attempts. My name is Jared F. and my social security number is [redacted]-[redacted]-[redacted]. I face difficulty in resetting my password and contacting customer service. This has caused me immense distress for three days in a row. I submitted the application over the phone, provided answers to additional questions, and received further documentation but am still unable to progress. Despite my previous experience of seamlessly transacting through businesses I owned for 30 years, I now face insurmountable obstacles. The delay in resolving these issues is affecting my SNAP program, leaving me without funds, food, and essential medications.
