Hello, I am seeking help regarding modifying my Rav4 [redacted] radio receiver to play videos while the car is in motion. Initially, I tampered with the brake's ground but realized I needed to connect a speed meter wire that detects movement based on speed. After connecting the speed wire to the GPS wire, the radio worked until [redacted] Km/h, but errors like 'traction turned off' and '4wd system malfunction' appeared. Despite reverting the wiring, the errors persisted even after resetting the battery. I have been advised that incorrect voltage may have damaged the kilometer's program. Any assistance to resolve the errors and restore functionality would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I placed a $[redacted] deposit on a [redacted] Toyota Camry XSE, V8, two-tone white/black, with black interior and all options on February 5, [redacted], at Grant's Pass Toyota in Grant's Pass, OR. The Sales Consultant mentioned this vehicle has limited production and needed to be ordered. I was informed via text on February 5 that the car would be built in March and available by early April. Over the past 4 months, there have been several schedule changes, with the latest promising delivery by June 2. I have expressed my frustration to my Sales Consultant about the lack of information on the delays. Despite being understanding that they rely on Toyota's schedule, the continuous changes without any explanation have been disappointing. I had to adjust my work schedule multiple times anticipating the car's arrival, only to be let down. I believe better communication and transparency are essential in such situations to allow customers to plan accordingly.

Dear Toyota Team, I am Zeyad Albarahmeh from the Quality Assurance department at LG Electronics in Jordan. **Complaint Subject**: Car temperature dropping. **Car Information**: - I own a Corolla [redacted]. - Chassis number: RKLBV42E5B[redacted]. - Motor number: 1ZRX020258. - My car was imported from UAE to Jordan. **Symptom**: Car temperature drops when speed exceeds 40km/h. **Observation**: In the morning, I have to wait around 10 minutes after turning on my car for the temperature to reach the middle. This wait time is too long. **Action taken**: Visited Toyota distributor in Jordan, they made changes costing around $[redacted], but the issue persists. They claim it's a car specification, which I find illogical. Their response shows they lack the capability to resolve the problem. I seek your advice and support to address this matter. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Eng. Zeyad Albarahmeh +[redacted]11 +[redacted]49

I purchased a [redacted] GLX Camry in Saudi Arabia, and unfortunately, the voice recognition feature is not functioning. When I press the button on the steering wheel, it displays "WELLCOM!" but no audible response follows. This prevents me from giving voice commands. However, I noticed that I can pair my phone and hear phone names announced through the keys on the MWA/MP3 audio system, indicating that the speakers and microphone are working fine. I am unsure how to reset or troubleshoot the voice recognition system to make it operational. Also, how can I perform a complete reset of the audio system in case the previous owner made any changes? Thank you.

On March 1st, I discussed the service needed at Longueuil Toyota QC. I requested the front brake change due to noise on the right wheel, rear shock absorber replacement, and an oil change. However, the rear brakes were changed on March 4th instead. I pointed out the error to Mr. Stephane Bouchard, who mentioned that David was on vacation. Despite highlighting the issue multiple times, Mr. Bouchard insisted I pay first and would address it later. I expressed my frustration, and when I asked for a loan car until David's return, Mr. Bouchard rudely refused. I then insisted on speaking with the General Manager Mr. Alain Bouchard, who was unavailable. Despite leaving voicemails and messages at the front desk, I did not receive a response. The lack of communication and respect shown by the staff, along with the overcharge of an extra hour, left me feeling mistreated and undervalued as a customer. - AB

Hello, I'm reaching out from Uganda. I recently purchased a Toyota Noah X [redacted] special edition. I have encountered two issues: 1. The car has a navigation system in Japanese, which I do not understand. I have tried contacting dealers in Uganda, but unfortunately, they do not have a solution to convert it to English. How can I change the navigation system language to English? 2. The vehicle is equipped with an NDDN-W56 DVD player in Japanese. I am wondering how I can switch the language to English. If this is not possible, could you recommend a car radio model that would support the navigation DVD in English?

I have a [redacted] Toyota Venza that I adore. Recently, the driver's side sun visor broke and wouldn't stay in place, making it tough to drive in bright sunlight. I believed my insurance would cover it under my extended policy as it relates to safety. However, the service representative classified it as cosmetic. Although I understand if it was just a light issue, this was a complete breakage, and I am disappointed with Toyota's decision. This experience has deterred me from purchasing extended insurance in the future. The service took place at Everett Toyota in Paris, Texas on July 18, [redacted]. - S.S.

I brought my Sienna in for the airbag and sliding door recalls. After the service was completed, I noticed black stains on the seat where the mechanic had sat. They tried to clean it but missed spots. When I got in to leave, I saw half of the molding was off by the brake pedal, which they fixed. On my way home, I realized the blinkers weren't working, so I had to go back to have that resolved. After a 2-hour drive back, I saw grease and black finger stains on my carpet, seats, and console. It's difficult for me to return due to the distance, so I want this issue fixed. I have pictures of the stains for reference.

I recently purchased a [redacted] Toyota Camry XLE Hybrid. I've noticed that there are no model names on the back, just the Toyota emblem. Even the Carfax shows no accidents. The absence of labels makes me wonder if the car was custom ordered without them. Is this common? It's concerning because I bought it as-is from a used dealer. I fear the Carfax could be altered, and that I might have ended up with a problematic car. I provided my VIN for reference: 4T1BD1FKXCU056967. Appreciate any insight on this.

I have a [redacted] Toyota Rav4 with [redacted],[redacted] miles. It's a limited 4-cylinder in pearl white, but the paint is peeling off. My main concern is a problem that occurs when starting from a stop after the car has been running for about 25-30 minutes. At around 20 mph, the car makes a whining noise and stops moving, which is dangerous in busy city traffic. I suspect it might be a computer issue because it first happened at 60,[redacted] miles on an uphill dirt road but now occurs more frequently after the warranty expired at [redacted],[redacted] miles, despite bringing it up with the dealer twice. I've seen similar complaints online from other owners of the same model year. This model also seems to consume oil. Despite being a loyal Toyota customer who has owned five of their vehicles, including the one I wanted the most, the dealer has been slow in addressing the 9 recalls, clicking steering wheel, and occasional kick on reverse. I'm considering trading it for a non-Toyota car due to the unresolved issues. Can anyone provide insight on this problem?

While making my Toyota [redacted] Highlander monthly payment on the Toyota Financial website, I explored the vehicle service agreements available. Interested in the platinum service agreement, I checked its benefits and cost, ensuring my vehicle met the eligibility criteria. To obtain a quote, I was advised to contact a Toyota dealer, and I entered my zip code, leading me to Ray Brandt Toyota in Kenner, LA. I spoke with Jeff in finance to inquire about the price of the service agreement. However, I was offered an LDS agreement instead of the expected Toyota Platinum Service Agreement. Upon expressing my preference for a Toyota service agreement, Jeff mentioned they do not sell them. Feeling frustrated with the process, I am considering contacting the corporate headquarters to address the inconvenience faced while attempting to purchase a genuine Toyota Platinum Agreement. As a long-time Toyota supporter, I hope to resolve this matter promptly.

Hello, I need some assistance since I am currently overseas. I am in Panama 🇵🇦 in Central America. I purchased a Toyota Camry with the VIN JTNBE40K[redacted]35. I am looking to find out the accurate build year, country and state of manufacture, along with details about the engine, body, etc. I need this information because the car is experiencing problems related to the FRONT DRIVE SHAFT. Thank you in advance for any help you can offer. Much appreciated.

I recently bought a [redacted] Toyota Camry LE and I'm interested in adding body side moldings to prevent dings in narrow parking spots. My dealer mentioned that Toyota isn't producing them this year and recommended waiting to see if they will be available later. I am considering having a body repair shop install a similar type of protection if they are not offered. It's surprising to me that Toyota isn't offering them for the [redacted] Camry model since they have been available for previous years. I'm curious if there is any specific reason behind this change.

I own a [redacted] Toyota Prius Prime with 33,[redacted] miles. Recently, I noticed premature wear on my steering wheel, resulting in a blister on the leather. After visiting Koons Toyota in Stafford, VA, the Service Manager took photos and consulted with Warrantee Services. Unfortunately, it was deemed damage I had caused and not covered under warranty. Fast forward to 44,[redacted] miles, and a second blister has appeared. I sought help from a Toyota dealer in Annapolis, MD, only to be redirected back to Stafford. As a loyal customer with multiple Toyota purchases, this treatment is disappointing. The repeated blisters without any damage indicate a material or manufacturing flaw. It has left me dissatisfied with Toyota products. I can provide the Service Manager's information from Stafford and evidence of the blisters. Contact me at [redacted]. My name is Curtis Porter.

Subject: Issue with Etios T Permit Car - Request for Warranty Repair Dear Sir, I am writing to bring to your attention a concern regarding the diesel pump of my Etios T Permit car, which I purchased for Yukta Travels in September [redacted]. The vehicle has been in use for two years and has covered a total of 43,[redacted] kilometers. Recently, my car experienced a starting issue, leading me to take it to the Mira Road service center. The service center has diagnosed a fault in the diesel pump, necessitating repair. As the vehicle is still within the three-year/[redacted],[redacted] km warranty period, I kindly request your assistance in covering the repair costs under warranty. The service center has quoted Rs. 1 lakh for the diesel pump replacement, which I believe should be covered as a manufacturing defect under the warranty agreement. As a financially constrained individual using the car for daily income, and with the added burden of a loan and EMIs to meet, I am unable to afford such a substantial expense. I appeal to you to address this issue promptly, replace the diesel pump under warranty, and release my vehicle from the service center at the earliest. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Warm regards, Vinod Rathod Mobile: [redacted] Vehicle No: MH48AY8790

The chrome surrounding the radio on my [redacted] Toyota Avalon XLE is peeling off the plastic frame. When I try to reach the display screen or control knobs, the sharp edges cut my fingers or hand. I am seeking help from Toyota to repair or replace the chrome. The local dealership declined to address the issue as I did not purchase the car from them. I have owned this car for two years and love driving it. I always recommend Toyota to friends and family who inquire about my vehicle choice.

I purchased a [redacted] Yaris from Lake City Toyota back in October [redacted] along with a 4-year warranty. However, they have informed me that they are taking back the warranty due to the mileage on the vehicle. I contacted Lake City Toyota and spoke with a financial manager named Shane. He mentioned they could refund the warranty, but I am dissatisfied with this resolution. I believe it should not be my responsibility as a customer to rectify this situation. The application number on the letter from Toyota Finance dated 12/3 is PE204A.

I brought my RAV4 in for its first service today. Last week, when I opened the hood for the first time, I noticed the weather strip underneath was not attached properly. When I raised this with the service writer this morning, he informed me of two issues. Firstly, he suggested critters may have caused the problem with a cost of nearly $60, which I refute given that I don't have any critters in my car and it is regularly used and parked in the sun. Secondly, there was a vacuum hose with a piece of tape covering a hole, which I believe was a shoddy fix instead of a proper repair. The service manager even insinuated I had placed the tape there, which I deny as the only light that appeared was for low pressure, disappearing once the sun rose. I find it concerning that Toyota would resort to blaming me and attempting to charge for these issues rather than owning up to their mistakes. As a 61-year-old who has always driven American-made cars until now, this experience has shaken my faith in Toyota's integrity and product quality. I'm reconsidering my loyalty to the brand after this incident.

I own a [redacted] Toyota pickup, DLX King Cab, 4x4 with a manual transmission and a 3VZ-E 3.0 V6 motor. I've been struggling to find a diagram for all the hoses on the air intake chamber, specifically the vacuum hoses and other hoses whose routing I'm uncertain about. Despite my searches online, on YouTube, at the machine shop that worked on my heads, and even at Thompson's Toyota dealership, I haven't been able to locate the correct information. The confusion arises from the discrepancy in the number of ports on the second vacuum switch on the fender well of my truck - mine has three ports while all the information I've found so far only mentions two. At the dealership, Eric, the parts guy, couldn't figure out where the second vacuum line goes either. I'm unable to afford taking the truck to a shop due to being on a limited income, so I'm attempting to fix it myself in preparation for a smog test. If anyone can provide me with the accurate vacuum diagram and a diagram showing the other hoses on the air intake chamber, I would greatly appreciate it. My truck lacks the helpful under-the-hood sticker with this information, which the local Toyota dealership informed me is no longer available. Thank you for any assistance you can offer. Michael

Good evening, I recently experienced a flat battery in my [redacted] Corolla Sport, and after jumpstarting it, the stereo is now locked, possibly due to an anti-theft feature. Unfortunately, I don't have the 3-digit security code to unlock it since I purchased the car second hand. I've attempted to guess the code four times without success and don't want to risk locking it permanently. I am seeking guidance on resolving this issue. As there is no Toyota dealership in my city, I would prefer to handle this myself if feasible. Is there a way to retrieve the code or reset it? Thank you for your anticipated help. Best regards, Timothy C.
