I wrote a 14-page paper and saved it multiple times while working on it. When I tried to rename the file and save it using the "Save As" option, the updated version disappeared, and only the original rough draft remains. Despite watching several videos to retrieve the lost work, no solution has worked so far. The original save time was approximately 3:25 am, but I cannot find any version saved earlier than that. I have already spent 2.5 hours attempting to recover it without success. I would be grateful for any assistance in resolving this issue.

I recently had my billing switched to Microsoft account without my knowledge. After contacting support, I had a confusing experience where a technician was supposed to provide me with a code through call waiting, but I accidentally disconnected. Another woman accessed my computer, initiated a work order, and mentioned she would call me back. Unfortunately, the work order was canceled midway without completion, and I never received a call back. I am now receiving daily updates related to my husband's surgery on 11/13/18. I managed to get a phone code for a two-part verification process, but I'm unsure how to proceed with the second code. I suspect the second part of verification is not functioning properly, and I would like to restore access to Office [redacted]. Any assistance, including a phone call, would be greatly appreciated.

To Whom It May Concern, I received a phone call on Thursday evening claiming to be from Microsoft, stating that they were going out of business and refunding money for warranties on desktops and laptops. The caller, named Chris Wilson, provided his phone number as [redacted] and insisted on a direct deposit refund into my bank account to avoid using Western Union or PayPal. I suspected it was a scam as they requested access to my laptop to process the refund into my account, which I declined as I do not have online banking. Please be cautious of such calls. Thank you, Theresa Andriszak Contact: [redacted]

I have been relying on Microsoft Word for all my writing needs for years. Recently, when attempting to create a straightforward SOP list, I noticed that Word started to automatically write and format the document in a way that was not what I intended. This unwanted feature has made it challenging to disable, causing unnecessary complications. I have been proficient at formatting my own Word documents for over a decade, and I prefer a simpler approach. I do not need the program to take over tasks I am capable of handling. I value efficiency and accuracy in my work. If this issue persists, I may consider using Google Docs as an alternative.

I am experiencing issues with printing my 4x6 index cards. Despite setting everything to print in landscape orientation, one card out of the 50 prints in portrait orientation. This inconsistency happens regularly with each new set of cards I print. Previously, I did not encounter this problem and I am unsure why it has started now. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I've been repeatedly locked out of my email account even though I know the password. This has been an ongoing issue. I've had this email account for over a decade. I'm frustrated with the lack of communication on how to regain access. The email is [redacted] As a result, I created a new email, [redacted] Please assist me in resetting the password for my [redacted] account. Despite numerous attempts to submit emails and verification for my account, I have not received any communication.

One of the computers assigned to me by my boss for work purposes unexpectedly malfunctioned. As I was drafting an email, I realized Word was inaccessible due to disk memory issues. Alarming messages such as "This Crashed" and "That Crashed" popped up when I sought further details. To troubleshoot and free up space as advised by my boss, I require his password to delete unnecessary files. However, I am unable to locate a direct method to remove files without the password.

I've always been able to access documents sent via email. However, yesterday and today, I received a pop-up box saying "Something went wrong." I clicked for instructions to fix it. After trying restarting without success, I was directed to repair "Office." Following these steps, I accessed the document but was prompted to activate Word by 6/28 and allow cookies. I have always used Word without issues regarding cookies. Will this repair block me from accessing documents on my computer as I am accustomed to? I prefer not to use the cloud and want to continue reading and writing documents on my own computer without interruptions.

After buying a Microsoft laptop, I unintentionally created an Outlook email that linked to my family member's OneNote. I'm having trouble disconnecting our accounts and want to replace the Outlook email with my Gmail. It's slowing down my computer and causing difficulty in organizing files. The immediate issue I'm facing is opening shared Word files, which show an empty window with a yellow triangle and exclamation point. This glitch has left the content blank. Any help with these concerns is greatly appreciated.

Five years ago, I purchased my computer without issues, using Word for writing and formatting my books. Recently, I found out my friends had a one-time purchase of Word, unlike my annual subscription to Microsoft [redacted]. Living on Social Security with my husband battling Leukemia and mounting medical bills, I couldn't afford the yearly fee. Switching to Office Home and Student was suggested to avoid the recurring payments, but since transitioning, I've encountered constant issues with Word. Despite successfully writing and formatting 12 books before, my current project's formatting and page numbering problems halt its release on KDP, resulting in financial losses. I urgently need to resolve this dilemma that arose after switching from Office [redacted] to Office Home and Student to prevent losing customers and restore my peace of mind.

I am experiencing an issue with my Word document. Despite having no blank pages in edit view, an additional blank page appears in print view after the second page. This is causing discrepancies in my page numbers and footers as they are designed for odd and even pages. I have carefully reviewed for any extra page breaks, but none are visible. How can I resolve this problem and eliminate the phantom blank page that is not visible in edit view?

I have been working on a family history project in Microsoft Word for Mac (version 16.42) for the past month. Initially starting with a 10-page outline provided by my cousin, I expanded and edited the document into over [redacted] pages, with specific formatting such as Arial Bold 12, Arial Bold 12 Italic, and Italic. I encountered several issues recently. First, I am unable to access some documents on my desktop due to “Additional permissions are required” error messages. Second, I am facing “Word cannot open the document” errors related to access privileges. Lastly, when trying to add edited photos (.png or .jpg) to my documents, they do not stay in place. These problems have become more common recently, and I would appreciate any advice on resolving them. Thank you for any help you can provide.

I had Microsoft Word [redacted], but it didn't work on my new computer, so I had to purchase it again sometime last year. Unfortunately, I don't have the exact date, but I paid $[redacted].62 for it. The order number is [redacted]. If possible, please call me at [redacted] since I struggle with reading and writing. This is already the second time I've had to buy the program, and I won't purchase it again. The reason for needing a new one is that my computer crashed, and Apple had to delete everything due to a corrupted update. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and goodbye.

My wife had control over this computer. I have been locked out of her side and she had me on a fixed, no password account on mine during startup. She used a Windows 10 CD to manipulate my phone without my knowledge since the beginning of last year. I suspected a hack from a pornographic site but later noticed repetitive activities on my Facebook and other accounts. When I confronted my wife, she dismissed my concerns. I thought she was monitoring my device for parental control. After multiple attempts, I discovered her control over the computer through a USB drive. Recently she abandoned me and our children for committing adultery, leaving behind a phone with an SD card that might have given her access to my accounts. Despite her departure in December [redacted], I suspect she might still have control over my Gmail and a coding account without my consent. I am concerned that my SD card may be infected, and I am unsure about the Windows key or CD involvement in this situation.

Word, or more likely Windows 10, has switched its default language to Spanish, leaving me unable to understand the instructions to revert it back to English. I'm stuck because the guides all require me to navigate in Word, which I can't do in Spanish. I refuse to pay any money for a solution to this issue.

I wrote 84,[redacted] words for my novel, saving after each sentence. When trying to convert it to PDF, the document reopened without being converted. Despite saving, after restarting my laptop, 60 pages and 15,[redacted] words vanished. The document still exists, but a chunk is missing, with the last edit showing a month ago, despite daily saves. The error "product activation failed" is displayed on all Word docs for about 10 months, causing no issues until now. I am unable to recover the missing content, and need help restoring my complete document.

I'm experiencing a frustrating issue with my novel manuscript. I had saved my progress regularly as I wrote, but when I tried to convert the document to a PDF, it failed and didn't convert. After restarting my laptop, I discovered that sixty pages, equivalent to around 6,[redacted] words, had disappeared from the document. Although the file is not deleted, I cannot locate the missing content. Strangely, the document now shows the last edit was made a month ago, despite saving changes daily. Additionally, a message stating "product activation failed" appears above every MS Word document, a problem persisting for about ten months without causing issues before. I am seeking assistance in retrieving the lost content and resolving this technical glitch in Microsoft Word [redacted].

In [redacted], our home computer crashed, causing us to lose access to our Microsoft Word account. Although Apple support retrieved other saved information, they were unable to recover our Word account due to forgotten ID details. We are seeking assistance in accessing our lost Word data as well as restarting our Word account. We are willing to pay to create a new account, but regaining the lost information is our priority. Can anyone provide guidance on how to resolve this issue and retrieve our important Word documents?

I am currently finalizing a book using Microsoft Word on my [redacted] Mac computer. However, I am encountering an issue with error '[redacted]' that is preventing me from making any changes to the document. This error message has appeared intermittently in the past but now seems to be affecting my ability to access the document entirely. I understand that my Mac operating system, Maverick, is outdated, and I have been hesitant to update it to avoid a learning curve while completing my book. Despite this setback, I am nearly finished with the project. I am seeking advice on how to address this error with Microsoft Word on my current system. Any guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support. Diana Rowland

Hello, I encountered a problem with Microsoft Word for Mac. I acquired my version in Feb. [redacted] when I bought my iMac. Due to a medical issue, I was unable to use my computer for writing. When I tried to use the Word app last week (Feb. [redacted]), it started updating and introduced OneDrive, which I do not wish to use for storing my writing. I noticed a decrease in available updates from 5 to 1, which is frustrating. I have been a loyal user of Microsoft Word on Mac since the '80s, but the recent changes are making it difficult for me to continue using the product. I am concerned about where my files are stored, preferring them to be solely on my computer. Additionally, contacting Microsoft for support has been challenging and I haven't been able to speak with a live person. Thank you for listening to my concerns. Many thanks, Marty S.
