Recently, my experience at Denny's in Oak Grove, KY was extremely disappointing. Despite driving 30-40 miles, our order of 2 Lumberjacks was a letdown. Served at 4:00 pm, the food arrived cold -- blamed on waiting for toast. The bacon was burnt, and the toast seemed barely toasted and overly hard. When we raised these issues with the waitress, she seemed indifferent. We had to order another Lumberjack, which arrived missing ham and an egg. Even after getting a replacement, it was still incomplete. For a $46 meal, the poor quality and service were unacceptable. As a retired Army Sergeant, dealing with disabilities makes outings challenging, so encountering such subpar food and service was disheartening. Having worked in various places worldwide, this experience was particularly dreadful. A refund would be appreciated. Thank you. - Sgt. Anthony L., Retired US Army.

During my recent visits to both Denny's locations in Terre Haute, Indiana, I had vastly different experiences. The South store left much to be desired. Despite being the only customer initially, I felt neglected as regulars received preferential treatment, causing frustration when my meal was delayed. Conversely, the North store near Popular Avenue was crowded but provided prompt service. Although my order was the same at both locations, the quality varied significantly with warm French toast but cold scrambled eggs and sausage. While I may reconsider giving Denny's another chance, I was disappointed with the inconsistencies between the two stores.

I placed an order on DoorDash from your Happy Valley, Oregon location number [redacted]. One of my meals was missing from the delivery - the chicken fried steak dinner with garlic bread. DoorDash could only offer a refund, which I accepted. When I contacted the location, the woman who answered was rude and unhelpful. She refused to listen to me and even hung up on me twice when I tried to explain the situation. I simply wanted to check if the missing meal was left behind so we could pick it up. Unfortunately, I was not given the chance to express this. The entire experience was unprofessional and off-putting.

Around 8:30 a.m. today, on 4/8/[redacted], I visited Denny's to place a pickup order. I requested two 8oz sirloin dinners and a side of wavy fries. The new manager mentioned that the cash system was down and I could pay upon pickup. The total was $38, but based on the items I ordered (two sirloin dinners at $12.29 each and wavy fries at $2.99), it should have been around $28. Despite mentioning my AARP discount for 15% off, he did not apply it. The wavy fries were undercooked causing me to ask for them to be redone. The hot oil used melted the foam container. In the end, I had to pay $27.

I am disappointed with the way Denny's handled my recent order mistake. Although I have had great experiences at Denny's in the past, this time on my special birthday, they only delivered 2 out of 3 meals, which impacted my birthday dinner. Denny's only offered a refund for the missing meal but did not go further to make up for their error. Denny's response email mentioned the partial refund for the missing item in the order, confirming the adjustment on my credit card statement. After expressing my dissatisfaction with the compensation to the manager via text, I did not receive any further communication from Denny's. The lack of acknowledgment for the inconvenience caused on my birthday evening has left me feeling unsettled.

I had a disappointing experience at the Brookville Denny's last weekend. Despite being a regular at my hometown Denny's, this visit fell short. My burger was served cold like it came from a freezer, with raw bacon. Even after sending it back, the replacement was still not up to standard. My son's meal was also cold and undercooked. The waitress seemed indifferent, and even the manager didn't address the issue satisfactorily, blaming new staff and supplies. Eventually, my daughter and wife finished their meals while my son and I had to order a pizza at our hotel, missing out on the family dinner.

My family of four adults visited Denny's in Carbondale, Illinois. Despite being seated, we waited over 15 minutes for a waitress to come to our table. When we finally ordered food and drinks, it took another 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive. I had coffee but no silverware was provided. After several attempts to get silverware, including asking the manager and a different waitress, I only received it when our food arrived, which took a total of 37 minutes. Unfortunately, our order was incorrect, missing two eggs, and the biscuits and gravy were not served as requested. The overall service was unacceptable, with no salt or pepper on the table. I would like a refund or a voucher for a future meal for four. My name is Paul Williams, and this incident occurred on June 28, [redacted], at around 11:30 am at store number [redacted] in Carbondale, Illinois. My bill was $45.46, and I paid in cash.

While dining at Denny’s restaurant number [redacted] in Corning, California on June 14, [redacted], I took my handicapped friend for breakfast. Unfortunately, our server Morgan did not inform us about any specials, and we ended up paying a surprisingly high bill of $27.45 for just water with our meals. Later, I noticed a marquee sign offering breakfast for $5.99 and $6.99. When I brought this up to Morgan during a subsequent visit, she was unapologetic and even made false claims about my actions and the tip I supposedly left. Her dismissive attitude towards my complaint and her unprofessional behavior were very disappointing. I believe that as a customer, I deserve fair treatment and respect. I hope that Denny’s addresses this issue appropriately. Thank you.

I had a disappointing experience with my Denny's delivery order last night. Despite paying online, my food was delivered to the wrong address by DoorDash. The driver even blocked me when I tried to contact him. The restaurant claimed they couldn't issue a refund, and DoorDash said only Denny's could help me. However, when I reached out to the manager, he denied my order and refund request. After getting the GM's email, I was told by DoorDash to contact corporate for a refund. I'm frustrated and plan to report this to Denny's headquarters. If I don't receive a refund soon, I'll escalate the issue to my bank for a chargeback. My family loves Denny's, but this experience has left me hesitant to order again. I hope to resolve this promptly. Thank you.

Myself and three colleagues visited your restaurant in Clarksville, Indiana at 6 p.m. last Sunday. Upon arrival, we were greeted and directed to a section with limited seating options suitable for my needs. I preferred to sit on a bench due to an injury, but the staff member on duty was unaccommodating. Despite being there for 4.5 hours without any service or water, the next shift did not attend to us either. Before COVID, we frequented Denny's two times a week, sometimes daily. The woman claimed to be the General Manager, but having briefly met the actual GM, it was clear she was not. We were all eager to eat, but unfortunately, it did not happen. A group of five of us gathers for a Bible study at your restaurant every Sunday, and acquaintances often join us to chat. However, based on the behavior that night, we may need to seek another location if this issue persists. Thank you. Regards, J.

My name is Linda Swope, and I work at Denny's restaurant #[redacted] as a dishwasher since October 2, [redacted]. I have been facing an issue with a coworker, Tez, who has taken on a managerial role. She insisted I work on Thanksgiving, even though I had prior plans and hadn't been scheduled since I started. Despite being told I work Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 9 am to 3 pm by another manager, John, Tez informed him that I had quit, causing confusion today when I showed up for my shift. I'm unsure about my employment status and concerned about my income. The situation at Denny's is chaotic due to this.

I ordered from a food drive and drove 25 minutes home, only to realize a sandwich was missing, and the other one was incorrect. When I called to report the issue, the employee who took my order was very rude, insisting that he had done it correctly. He refused to provide his name and rudely hung up on me when I requested to speak to a manager, claiming he was the manager. His behavior was unprofessional, and I just wanted to receive what I paid for, not trying to take advantage. He needs to be held accountable for his rudeness and lack of respect for customers. It was disappointing to not be treated with the basic customer service expectation that the customer is always right.

I had a disappointing experience at Denny's on Dutchman's Lane with Sharon last Friday. Unfortunately, we both fell severely ill afterwards. Upon contacting the store manager, Mike, to address the problem, he refused to provide his last name, was unhelpful, and even threatened to involve the police. I tried contacting Maria about the issue, but the call was abruptly ended from her end. My name is Harry L. Gregory III, and my telephone number is [redacted] or cell [redacted]. I would appreciate a prompt response to this matter.

I filed a complaint at the Rolla, MO Denny's and was promised a call back from the owner, but it has been over a week with no response. Now, it seems like the owner won't contact me. I would appreciate a call at [redacted] to address my concerns. If this matter isn't resolved, I will no longer dine at Denny's and will advise my friends and family to do the same. Thank you.

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to express my disappointment with your company's recent renovations that have affected accessibility for people with disabilities. I have been a loyal customer of three local Denny's locations in Las Vegas but due to the remodel, I can no longer comfortably dine at any of them as a person permanently using an electric wheelchair. The removal of outlets near tables prevents me from charging my chair while dining with friends, as there is only one outlet available at a counter where I can only sit alone. Previously, I enjoyed bringing friends and socializing at Denny's tables with accessible outlets. The lack of consideration for maintaining these outlets is disheartening and has forced me to seek alternative dining options where I can continue to socialize and ensure my wheelchair remains charged. I have raised my concerns with store managers who have indicated this decision stems from corporate directives. I find it unacceptable that a corporation would neglect the needs of handicapped individuals in this manner, ultimately leading me to search for a more inclusive dining establishment for future gatherings. Sincerely, R.S.

The Elk Grove establishment consistently falls short of upholding the Denny’s standard. The staff's demeanor lacks basic customer service etiquette, impacting generosity and customer loyalty. The recurring emergence of hand-written signs at the register, imposing conditions like compulsory additional beverage purchases for the kids' eat free offer and refusal to accept coupons, accentuates the numerous shortcomings. These ongoing issues paint a negative image, with recent incidents such as withholding a portion of a milkshake further adding to the dissatisfaction. The essence of sharing a milkshake from the traditional tin is lost. It is imperative for the corporate entity to review the terms of the franchise agreement with the owner to reinstate the authentic Denny’s experience.

Today is my twin sister's and my birthday. I am aware that you receive a free grand slam on your birthday visit to Denny's. We typically go for breakfast every year on our birthday. My sister received her email a few days back for her free meal. I signed up at the table at Denny's on [redacted] near the airport and got my email for my complimentary breakfast. This year is the first time we needed the email to scan for the free breakfast. Once I received mine, we took the check to the register. I informed the cashier, who claimed to be the manager, that I had my email for the free breakfast. She scanned it and said it was used. I explained that it was just scanned, but she insisted it was used before today. We asked for a manager, and she said she was the manager. She agreed to honor it but threatened to alert all Denny's that our coupons were used. After a scene, my sister left, and the manager threatened to call the cops. I came back and paid, but her behavior was unprofessional and disrespectful. I will not be returning to that Denny's.

I wish to bring to your attention an incident involving two female employees at the Dennys on S. Watson Rd in Arlington, Texas. Upon entering with two family members, we were ignored in favor of an elderly couple who arrived before us. After waiting for over 10 minutes, one of the employees informed us that they were not seating any more customers, stating we had to wait until the next shift. This treatment was rude and unprofessional, causing me distress and discomfort. When confronted, the employee indicated that the elderly couple was seated due to their ownership status. The behavior exhibited towards me and my two cousins, who are black, was unacceptable and appeared to be motivated by racism. I urge management to address this issue promptly and take appropriate action. I hope to receive a resolution and am anticipating a gesture of goodwill, such as a voucher, to encourage us to revisit and experience improved service. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I want to address an issue I experienced during my recent visit to your diner. I am a loyal customer and have been a member of your rewards program for years. I received a coupon for 24% off my meal on February 24th as part of a social influencer promotion. When I visited the restaurant in San Diego in my wheelchair, I was unsure if the coupon would be honored. Despite this, I decided to place an order. Unfortunately, after 30 minutes, I was informed that my order had not been sent to the kitchen. This experience has stayed with me, and I hope there may be a way to rectify it. The 24% discount on February 24th was a special offer that I was unable to enjoy due to the poor service I received. If there is anything that can be done to restore my faith in Denny's, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
