Despite being short-staffed with a new server and limited kitchen staff, our concern arose when several tables seated after us received their meals promptly while we waited until 9:45pm. Disappointed by the delays and lack of communication, I inquired about our order, which had been forgotten by the kitchen. The server was apologetic, and we were offered a 25-minute wait to start our meals. Frustrated by the situation, my pregnant wife left in anger while I settled the bill, acknowledging the overwhelmed server with a $20 tip. The overall experience was unwelcome, causing distress and disappointment. This incident has tarnished my view of Denny’s, a place I used to frequent. I value honesty and time, two elements that seemed disregarded during this visit. While this may seem excessive, the poor service left a lasting impact, making me hesitant to return or recommend the establishment to others.

My name is Samuel Scorpiniti, and I experienced racial discrimination at a restaurant with my wife. We were denied a free birthday dinner because we are white while everyone else present was Hispanic. I recently had an interview at the Denny's location on [redacted] Medical District Dr in Dallas, TX on February 27th. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed by the lack of professionalism during the interview. They didn't provide any information about the hourly wage or details about the job itself, only mentioning that it was "really hard." Instead of focusing on the role, they spent time speaking negatively about a current employee, specifically the night cook, implying that they were unreliable. The interview experience was not positive and came across as highly unprofessional.

Around 1:00 am on March 19th, [redacted], a female friend and I visited Denny's on McHenry Ave at Five Points in Modesto, CA. I ordered an Everyday Value Slam with a side of hash browns, while my friend ordered a 55+ omelet with a side of country gravy. Unfortunately, we faced significant delays in receiving our meals, which was particularly frustrating given the low number of customers at that late hour. It took approximately 40 to 45 minutes for our food to arrive, which was unacceptable. When our meals finally arrived, they fell short of the usual quality I expect from Denny's. The biscuits were tasteless, the gravy was thin and cold, and the sausages were barely warm and unpleasantly soft. Despite the disappointing food, our server was friendly and efficient.

During our visit, we encountered several issues with the service. Initially, our coffee order was forgotten, and when it finally arrived, the creamer had solid pieces in it. Despite requesting orange juice and a straw, we were told they were out of straws, even though others had them. The situation worsened when our food order was wrong. When I inquired about the straws, the staff mentioned they were only for desserts, yet a nearby table had them with their drinks. This inconsistency, paired with a dismissive attitude, left us disappointed with our experience and feeling the need to address these concerns somehow.

I work as a manager at a Denny's restaurant, and unfortunately, another manager at my workplace was caught on camera stealing my work bag and purse. Despite being caught, she still works here, and we are scheduled to work together. I have not been able to recover any of my stolen possessions which include my ID, insurance cards, debit card, paycheck, medication, phone, jewelry, makeup, important documents, wages, tips, and hours. This situation has left me feeling uncomfortable, forcing me to miss shifts. I am frustrated as I feel like I am being unfairly punished for something I did not do. Despite reaching out multiple times, I have not received any help. The contact number provided leads me to the store owner who is aware of the situation but has taken no action. I am in need of assistance.

I am currently at the Denny's in Springfield, Oregon, where I've had breakfast for the past three days. Unfortunately, my order has been incorrect each time. Today, when I asked the manager, Ed, to fix it, he refused and was rude, even yelling at me and threatening to take me outside if I didn't like it. I found this behavior totally disrespectful and unprofessional. If Ed is still employed there when I return, I will have to involve my lawyer. This kind of treatment is unacceptable. I recently dined at Denny's Restaurant on Hesperian in Hayward, CA and encountered an issue with using my EBT card for payment. I had checked online and found that other establishments like Whole Foods, Carl's Jr, McDonald's, and El Pollo Loco accept EBT. I have successfully used my EBT at locations such as Whole Foods, Lucky's, KFC, and Carl's Jr in the same area before. Despite my previous experiences, the restaurant staff at Denny's refused my EBT payment without asking for my identification. I recently visited your Pittsburgh location at [redacted] McKnight Road, Pennsylvania. Typically, I order the build your own option since there isn't a burger with grilled chicken available. However, on 06/03/[redacted], when I ordered a burger with grilled chicken, I received a beef burger instead, which goes against my religious beliefs. Upon returning to the store to address the issue, the staff member accused me of not mentioning my preference, even though I did. I did not escalate the situation, but I believe this matter needs to be resolved by the franchise. I am seeking an explanation for the disrespectful treatment I received as a customer who simply wanted my order corrected.

I want to share my recent experience at Denny's in Jeffersonville, Ohio. This visit will be both my first and last. My boyfriend and I encountered unsanitary conditions; my arm stuck to the table. The waitress argued loudly with a customer, which detracted from our meal. The quality of the food was subpar; the t-bone was unacceptable. Additionally, listening to kitchen staff arguing about serving a customer based on race was distressing. This behavior is unacceptable, and if this is the norm, the diner should consider permanent closure. This was our first visit, and the amount we paid did not reflect the poor experience. Hello, my name is Chris, I recently dined at the Northfield Denny’s in NJ on Tilton Rd with a group of 6 friends. Unfortunately, two of our group found hairs in their food. Despite requesting for the item to be removed from the bill, the manager, Angela Lee, refused and accused us of planting the hair. This was unacceptable as both individuals with the hair in their food were seated closest to the kitchen, where the food originated. The manager's attitude and refusal to address the issue properly left a lot to be desired. I hope that my friend can receive a refund for the affected food, but more importantly, I believe it's necessary for the management to address this situation and take appropriate action. Such behavior from a manager is unacceptable in any establishment, let alone a chain restaurant like Denny's.

I was informed by the customer service representative that my food would be ready by 4:00 am. However, upon my arrival, the food was ready earlier, and I was not notified about the system rebooting, causing me to wait longer to pay. Consequently, the food had gotten even colder when I reached home, despite living just 3 minutes away. The bacon was undercooked, the ham was unappetizing, and the sausage was not cooked through. The scrambled eggs were poorly made, leading to a disappointing meal experience for me and my children. The sandwich was particularly dreadful, and we ended up not eating it. This whole situation was a waste of time, and I would appreciate a refund.

I need to address a concerning incident that occurred at your restaurant involving my niece. Despite having money to pay, the card wouldn't work, and when their friend tried to pay, the staff still called the police. They were then followed to the bathroom where the staff wrongfully assumed they were doing drugs. This profiling and unjust treatment led to my niece being jailed and the other receiving a ticket. The discrimination and actions of the Casa Grande staff are completely unacceptable. I urge you to address this issue promptly.

I visited your Denny's restaurant in Bakersfield, CA on Brund Lane last night. It took 45 minutes to be seated, and we were greeted by a manager named Ruby, who said she was the manager for the night. However, we didn't see her again after that. Finally, after being seated, it took an hour to get our food. We asked one of the servers to talk to a manager about our experience, but nobody came to our table. As it got busier, all the workers were occupied, but Ruby, the manager, was nowhere to be found. I am a regular customer, and I was very disappointed and upset by the lack of service.

I ordered 2 country fried steak dinners for seniors at $9.99 each, but was charged $15.79 each. When I questioned the waitress, she insisted I ordered 2 each. We couldn't finish the food as it was excessive. Additionally, the onion rings were charged $0.99 and were cold and unappetizing. My partner got a side salad and we had 2 iced teas, taking an hour to get refills. The gravy was tasteless and pasty, unlike the usual quality at other Denny's. Overall, a disappointing experience.

I have been informed that Denny's does not offer a value meal consisting solely of eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns. Instead, they have a combo with eggs, bacon, and pancakes, which I am not interested in. I was told that I could purchase a pricier meal that includes eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, and pancakes, but I am unable to order eggs, bacon, and pancakes and swap the pancakes for hashbrowns without incurring an additional cost. Is there a specific phrase I should use to address this? I find it puzzling why Denny's does not allow customers to substitute hashbrowns for pancakes without extra charges. It's confusing to me.

For my birthday on August 4, [redacted], my husband and I visited the Dennys in Wichita Falls located off Highway [redacted]. We arrived at 6:45 p.m. and placed our orders. After waiting for an hour without receiving our food, we inquired with the waitress who mentioned it would be about 15 minutes longer. Another hour passed with no meal, so we decided to leave. Despite there being only six customers in the restaurant, no one seemed to be served. We have dined at this location many times before without any issues, but this experience led us to decide not to return. Our orders were simple - a Lumberjack Special and a Denver Omelette. Additionally, our iced tea lacked ice and tasted sour. It appears that better supervision may be needed at this establishment to prevent more customers from being lost.

I ordered take-out which was very expensive, not cooked properly, and some items were undercooked. The whole order was a mess and we couldn't eat it. After complaining, the manager promised a quick refund, but it hasn't been done even after ten days. The service from start to end was disappointing. I would rate Denny's zero stars if possible. We won't return or recommend them after this horrible experience.
