I believed I had successfully purchased tickets for a United Airlines flight through Expedia. I received a trip summary with all the necessary details to complete the purchase, and I agreed to the price for the travel plan. However, I never saw the money being transferred for the ticket payment. With my trip fast approaching next week, I am now without reservations. I need assistance in securing seats on the United flight. The flight route is a direct one from Fort Lauderdale International Airport (FLL) to San Francisco International Airport (SFO) on Wednesday, June 27, and returning on Sunday, July 15, from San Francisco (SFO) to Fort Lauderdale (FLL). I have attached an email we sent to Sandos Caracol in Mexico detailing our recent stay complaint. After staying there from May 1st to May 9th, we reached out to three managers and Sandos' complaint department without a response, aside from acknowledgement. Despite assurances of contact, we have not been contacted for weeks. As a final attempt, we are contacting Expedia since our booking was made through their website. We hope for your assistance as we had plans for a return trip next year. Here's a summary of our experience: Dear Carlos del Valle, Following our recent stay at the Sandos Caracol resort in Mexico, my wife and I encountered a distressing situation on the night before departure. Apartment [redacted] was inundated with toilet water, causing damage to our belongings. Despite attempts to seek help, the response from reception was unhelpful and lacked empathy. A room change to [redacted] did not resolve the issue as it also had a sewerage smell. We appreciate the one manager's apology, however, the overall response from the staff was disappointing. I am Drake Denning. I had a reservation for two rooms at Days Inn in Nashville, TN on June 15, [redacted], for my upcoming wedding on the 16th. I canceled the reservation three days prior by calling Expedia, and I received confirmation via email. However, I was charged $[redacted] for one of the rooms I didn't use. The confusion arose because I was unaware that I needed to cancel both rooms separately. The automated phone system I used didn't clarify this, as I didn't speak to a live representative. I recently stayed at the Geiser Hotel in Baker City under the name Luke Schaaf on the 15th of June. My reservation through Expedia was mistakenly booked for the 16th. The front desk clerk mentioned a $50 early check-in fee to rectify the situation, but upon checking out at 9 p.m., I was charged for two nights. Despite trying to resolve the issue with Expedia, they were unable to help reverse the charge. When I contacted the hotel directly, I was informed that Expedia had canceled the reservation, leaving me out the cost of two nights despite only staying for one. I am seeking a refund for the overcharge.

My spouse arranged flights and hotel through Expedia for a June trip, yet we received no email notifications about a flight change as promised on Expedia's site. Flight [redacted] from SFO to LAX, which was part of our itinerary, no longer exists as such. The lack of communication is frustrating as we were left stranded. This reflects poorly on the business practices of American Airlines and Expedia. Unlike other companies like eBay or Amazon that inform customers of changes, we received no such updates here. The ticketing agent was unhelpful. We lost a vacation day, had to pay for extra expenses, and wasted time navigating through unhelpful websites. Despite hearing customer service rhetoric, we were left dissatisfied and will be avoiding American Airlines and Expedia in the future.

The hotel I stayed in, Point Plaza in Newport News, Virginia, on 06/23/18 was a terrible experience. It took 40 minutes to check in due to the understaffing issues. The cleanliness of the hotel was appalling; the room had dirty sheets, washcloths, and towels, while the sink and shower were filled with hair and particles. The overall hygiene was so poor that nothing could be touched with bare hands. Despite wanting a refund, the hotel had a strict no refund policy. Unfortunately, due to the high demand for the Hampton Jazz festival, all other hotels were fully booked. In addition to the unsanitary conditions, witnessing a rat on the premises was the final straw. I plan to report the hotel to the local health department and any necessary authorities to address these unacceptable conditions.

Today was a terrible experience for my family. American Airlines cancelled two flights without any accommodation, ruining our vacation. We were shoved over to Miami for the night without a hotel booking. We woke up at 3:00 AM and discovered our flights were cancelled twice, with no explanation or concern for our inconvenience. Upon reaching the airport for our rescheduled flight, we waited in line for an hour to rebook, only to face indifferent staff. After being shifted to a flight to Miami, we are now waiting in another long line at customer service late at night to find a place to stay. The lack of accommodation and professionalism from American Airlines is unacceptable. It would have been reasonable to receive a voucher for the inconvenience caused to salvage our vacation. I look forward to your response by tomorrow. I have always used Expedia and hope for your assistance in resolving this. I will share this disappointing experience on social media.

Upon arriving, I booked a double bed room but received a single bed. The staff moved me to a room with a Jacuzzi, but it malfunctioned, flooding the floor. I reported it to the manager, Joe, who took some time to shut it off. They provided towels and advised me to wait for the water to be absorbed. The issue was not resolved promptly as promised, and the response was unsatisfactory. After speaking with another manager, Shorlanda, this morning, I was relocated to a different room and offered a refund for the first night.

I purchased tickets with Cape Air for September [redacted] through your service. Due to a hurricane, my flight was canceled, and the tickets were extended until September [redacted]. During my time in Tanzania, I encountered frightening situations, with the most alarming being an attempted theft that resulted in me being dragged by a motorcycle when my purse got caught. Despite my plans to stay in East Africa until July 12, my family's worries have prompted me to shorten my trip. I will be heading to Rwanda tomorrow and have accommodations until July 7, after which I aim to depart Africa. I'm willing to forego my direct flight on July 12 and am open to a layover in the Middle East. I've noticed Qatar has connecting flights from Kigali that I'm interested in. Floating Sea Cove and Marina was disappointing. The room was tiny at 8 x 10 with minimal furniture, not like the pictures online. The bed looked worn out, and the noisy air conditioner was a bother. There was even a roach in the bathroom with a rusty shower and dirty curtain. I took photos to show the conditions. The price of nearly $[redacted] was not worth it, and I couldn't stay there. I'm upset that Expedia promotes this place without accuracy. I demand a refund based on the misleading advertising. We ended up staying at a Holiday Inn one block away for $[redacted] with better amenities. I discovered reviews later confirming my experience, which is unacceptable. Hello, I am still waiting for a response regarding my refund request. During my stay at Perry's Ocean Side Resort in Daytona Beach, I encountered several issues that led to me cancelling my booking. The lack of parking, unsafe conditions, and overall cleanliness of the hotel were extremely disappointing. The actual state of the hotel did not match the photos provided on Expedia, which was misleading. The room itself was outdated with dirty, torn carpet, broken light switches, and a strong unpleasant odor. The staff seemed unaware of the discrepancies and even suggested unsafe parking across a busy street. I rented a car on June 28, [redacted], with a return date of July 2, [redacted]. I purchased extra coverage for $50.00. I was unable to return the car on time as planned due to transportation issues. Unfortunately, before I could bring the car back, it was taken from my parent's driveway. Itinerary number [redacted][redacted] was a complete disaster. I paid C$[redacted].00 to reserve a room at what I thought was a guest house but turned out to be possibly a hostel in Reyjkavik, Iceland. Upon arrival, all four rooms were already full, and the owner, Bjorgvin, was not prepared. The entrance to Town House was unmarked and the room I booked was not available. The whole experience was chaotic and disappointing. I ended up having to find a room at FossHotel Reyjkavik at a much higher price. Furthermore, I had issues with Itinerary number [redacted][redacted] at St. Giles Hotel in London. I tried to cancel my last night but had no success despite speaking with a supervisor named Mohsen. This experience has left me frustrated and disappointed with Expedia. I urge them to address these complaints immediately.
