I recently had Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for a month with recurring billing turned off. Following its expiration, Microsoft attempted to renew without my consent resulting in a $19.03 charge on my account. Additionally, I encountered issues with games not launching or reading on my Xbox console. Despite verifying that the discs are in good condition - as they work on another console, these problems persist. I have noticed similar complaints from other players facing the same problem upon Game Pass expiration, indicating Microsoft is aware but has yet to resolve it. I have tried troubleshooting steps like hard resets to no avail. Considering the situation, I am left with the choice of paying the $19.03 or seeking its removal to resolve the game launch issue. I also find Microsoft's customer support process frustrating as all contact numbers redirect me to the website for a call back request, making it impossible to hold for assistance.

I need urgent help regarding my hacked account. The password, phone number, and linked email have all been changed without my consent. I am unable to access important files like e-transfer receipts and work paystubs. Also, I am having trouble signing into my computer and receiving email notifications on my phone. My hacked email address is [redacted], and my alternate email is [redacted] These accounts have been linked for years. Please assist me with this matter promptly.

I attempted to set up a Windows ID with my cell number, [redacted], but encountered issues signing into my Hotmail account. Instead of my email address, [redacted], my cell number was showing up as the sign-in. After changing the cell number to my email address, I received an error message stating my account or password was incorrect. When I tried to reset the password, it wouldn't accept my email due to a domain issue. I need help resetting my Hotmail account so I can sign in using my email address without the cell number.

While attempting to update to Windows Feature Update Version 20H2, my system was repeatedly interrupted by Nord VPN's NordLynx causing my internet connection to fluctuate, leading to a cycle of "Working on It," "Restarting," and so on. Though I rectified the constant rebooting by cleaning up the Registry in Safe Mode, the issue persists each time I attempt the update. Despite unplugging the computer and peripherals, the problem lingers. I even considered a clean boot, but hesitated when advised to consult a Microsoft support engineer to avoid destabilizing my system. How can I safely complete this update without causing harm to my computer?

Yesterday, I received a message alert purporting to be from Microsoft, warning me about malware and providing a contact phone number. Concerned it might be a scam, I attempted to close the window unsuccessfully. After restarting my computer and still encountering the message, I reached out to the provided phone number. The individual on the line claimed my computer was infected and suggested a $[redacted] fee for a network firewall installation to resolve the issue, which seemingly covered various services. The transaction being quoted in US dollars raised a red flag for me. Despite paying via my Visa, I felt uneasy due to the foreign accent of the person, peculiar questions asked, and the request to sign a PDF sent via email. I would appreciate it if someone could verify the legitimacy of this situation as I suspect it might be a scam. The phone number in question is 1-[redacted], and the person I spoke to identified themselves as "Joshph" or "George." Thank you for your assistance.

I kindly requested to change the date on my old system back to the end of April. Microsoft, without my consent, installed new programs, rendering my computer unusable except for accessing my Shaw email. Despite multiple calls to Microsoft support (case # [redacted]), I was notified that reverting to my old system is not possible. I have crucial documents, government contacts, and bills on that system essential for my work. I urgently need to restore my old system. Can Microsoft assist with this? Despite their promise of continuous customer support, I am struggling. I am a senior citizen, not very tech-savvy, and have been distressed trying to resolve this issue. Is there an email or phone number for Microsoft in Redmond, Washington that you can provide? Being located in Canada adds to my concern. Thank you. - Senior Citizen

I visited my Microsoft account to change my verification method from a phone number to an email address and to update my password for security reasons. However, I encountered an issue during the verification process after removing the phone number. I received a notification stating that I have to wait thirty days for the changes to take effect. Although I managed to reset my password by filling out a form, I am unable to access the security section or set up two-factor verification for the next thirty days. It would be helpful if Microsoft had included a prompt informing users about the immediate 30-day waiting period when removing a single verifier, allowing them to choose alternative verification methods beforehand.

Hello, I am reaching out on behalf of my friend who is unable to access his email because he only has one computer. Therefore, any suggested actions that require email access are not feasible for him. It is crucial for him to communicate with Microsoft over the phone. The name of the individual is Ron Manrovich, his email is [redacted], and his phone number is [redacted]. His issue is regarding the missing file VCOMP140.DLL. This occurred when he attempted to update his Wacom drivers on the Wacom site, resulting in the removal of the VCOMP140.DLL file. Consequently, Mr. Manrovich is unable to access email or the internet, hence the necessity to contact him via phone. Kindly provide guidance to me, Julien Fradette, his friend, so I can relay any messages accordingly.

I'm having trouble accessing my account ([redacted]) because I forgot the password. When I try to use the recovery form, it says I didn't provide enough information. I completed all the other sections, but I don't know the recent emails and subjects. I'm confused why the details I provided aren't sufficient. It's crucial for me to regain access to my account as I purchased Minecraft for $35 on there. I'm on a tight budget and losing that $35 would be a significant loss for me.

I am the sole user and owner of my high-end business computer purchased as a company purchase for my contracting work. I have Dell Pro Support for 4 years, which I believe is why I have an Administrator and User account. I am struggling to bypass the Administrator Login, which requires a separate email address, creating a frustrating cycle I cannot break. Additionally, my computer no longer recognizes my printer on the network it previously did. I am perplexed as to why I need to be my own administrator in a one-person setup. I have had help remotely from a tech person in the past and would appreciate any assistance in resolving these pressing issues along with others. Thank you for your help. - David P.

Hello, I am experiencing an issue regarding a package I ordered from your company. Some time ago, I placed an order with you, but UBS couldn't locate my mailbox. I wasn't notified to collect the package, and I only found out on Friday that it had been returned to the sender, which is you. I requested a refund for the package that was returned to you, explaining that I didn't receive it, and I ordered a new one instead. I just received an email stating that if I want a refund, I need to attach a label to the package for the return (please see the email below). However, since the issue was that I never received the package, I am unable to attach the label for the refund. If needed, I can provide you with the order number of the returned package and my purchase proof for the new one. Best regards, Florent Amiot

Three days ago, I forgot my Windows password and encountered difficulties during the recovery process as I could only verify through a deactivated gmail account and phone number. Despite attempting to reactivate my account with my phone, I was unsuccessful. When trying to obtain a new password, I received a message stating I had exceeded the code request limit. This persisted even after trying again the next day. Consequently, my Outlook account settings became outdated, leading to further complications as I couldn't log in due to the forgotten password. An additional obstacle is the 2-step verification hindering the recovery form option. I am seeking guidance on resolving this issue.

Three days ago, I forgot my Windows password and attempted to change it using my phone number and a deactivated gmail account for verification. I tried to reactivate the account with my phone without success. Despite multiple attempts to get a new password, I received an error message stating that I've requested too many codes for the day. The following day, I tried again, only to encounter the same issue. As a result, my Outlook account settings became outdated, but I was unable to log in to correct them due to the forgotten password. Additionally, I cannot utilize the recovery form option due to two-step verification. How can I resolve this situation?

I recently tried to access my Outlook.com email on my computer and encountered sign-in issues. Despite updating my phone number in April, the system continues to send verification codes to my old, inactive number. My attempts to access my email on both my computer and new phone have been unsuccessful. I received a support message indicating a waiting period to verify my new phone number without a way to confirm previous messages. This situation is alarming as I have recently been laid off and need access to work-related details and potential job opportunities. The current situation is causing undue stress and is extremely frustrating.

I have spent 2 days and 4 hours talking to 4 different individuals and being transferred between 3 different departments, all in an attempt to receive assistance with updating Microsoft Flight Simulator [redacted]. Unfortunately, none of the persons I spoke to were able to provide a satisfactory answer. Despite receiving emails directing me to forums, I am seeking direct assistance from someone knowledgeable about flight simulation software. It seems many others are encountering similar frustrations. It should be a simple process, yet I have been unable to resolve it. If only I had known that Microsoft Flight Simulator [redacted] requires the Xbox app to update, I could have saved myself from 3 days of irritation.

I'm concerned about a recent incident involving my computer. A few days ago, I received an urgent message from Windows Defender stating my system was compromised with viruses. The message instructed me to call a provided number, which led me to speak with a technician who advised installing Cisco as a solution. The technician referred me to Marquee Solutions, who subsequently downloaded "Supremo" to fix the issue. Marquee is now requesting a payment of $[redacted] for lifetime coverage. I'm uncertain if the initial contact was truly with Microsoft, and I am seeking clarity on the legitimacy of Marquee Solutions. Thank you.

I have been struggling with following your instructions for nearly two months now, and unfortunately, none of it has been successful. It's challenging for me to remember the exact date when I opened my account as it has been 22 years since then, and I am now 62 years old. The information in my email is essential, especially the messages about my late Mom passing away in July. Creating a new account does not serve any purpose for me. I urge you to reconsider the restrictions imposed on my current account. I am unable to access the verification code sent to my landline, and using my cell phone to receive the code is still not resolving the issue as the codes generate too quickly for me to enter them in time. As a result, I am completely locked out of my account and seeking assistance to regain access.

I need help with my new HP laptop. After logging in, the screen goes blank and I can't access my homepage. The power light flashes on and off, and the laptop eventually shuts down. I may have unintentionally triggered security measures by leaving the OneDrive personal vault open during setup, even though there was no data in it. I received a security code, changed my password, but the issue persists.

I have been charged twice for Microsoft Office. I am requesting a refund for an unauthorized payment made from an old CIBC Dividend Visa credit card ending in [redacted] for a family Office package that I did not request this year. I only have one laptop and I recently bought a lifetime Office family and student product for one user at $[redacted] from a store, instead of your yearly $[redacted].32 product. The new lifetime code is YPKT9-GFFMD-FGC9R-9QY3V-MJ2MZ from Club Price Costco Canada, with activator code [redacted][redacted], purchased and installed on October 24th, [redacted]. I am unsure how you charged another CIBC Adventura Card, the recent one, instead of the old Dividend Card that was canceled months ago. This transaction seems fraudulent, as I cannot be charged for a product I do not use. Kindly refund my recent CIBC Credit Card promptly, as you charged me by mistake. Failure to do so will result in the CIBC Visa contesting the transaction on my behalf. Thank you, Carmen M.

Hello, my name is Donna Watt. Yesterday, while using Microsoft Edge, my laptop was hijacked by a fake Windows Support representative. I was instructed to call a toll-free number, which I did, and allowed the individual access to my laptop in the hopes of resolving the issue. However, once I mentioned I could not pay for their services, they abruptly ended the call. Today, after managing to reopen my laptop, I encountered an issue with the volume. The person claimed it was due to a Trojan Spyware attack and other malicious hacks. The toll-free number provided was 1-[redacted]. I am seeking assistance from a Microsoft representative to help me address these security concerns. As a 55-year-old woman on long-term disability, I am unable to afford professional help. I typically use my laptop for news updates, email through Outlook, social media like Facebook, and following my favorite soap opera. I am not familiar with accessing dark web sites and unintentionally clicked on a malicious link. Apologies for the delay in reaching out, I was upset by the individual's demands for money. I appreciate any help you can provide.
