I have recently received an email regarding a reservation update receipt that appears to be from Paypal. The email states that my account has been limited due to a detected login from California. It asks me to confirm my identity in order to unlock it. However, when I tried to log in through another link, Paypal now claims I have no account. I have received similar emails in the past and after checking my account, found no such messages. I have forwarded these suspicious emails to Paypal's Fraud section but have only received automatic responses with no follow-up. Can someone advise me on what is happening with my account?

Hello, I recently made a purchase from a company named YC Tech for $50.96 via PayPal. Unfortunately, upon receiving the goods, I realized they were not as advertised. Instead of cans, I received 30ml tubes which do not meet my needs. When I reached out to the company, they only offered a 30% discount or asked me to send the package back to China at my own cost, which was not helpful. I have tried contacting PayPal multiple times without success, waiting on hold for up to 30 minutes each time. This is my final attempt to get a refund quickly, as I may consider closing my account. The reviews for this company are terrible, and it seems like they are deceiving and scamming customers.

Hello, this is Nasir Ali. I recently sold a £[redacted] jacket to a buyer named Mohammed E. After a few days, the buyer requested a refund from PayPal without informing me about any issues with the jacket. Unfortunately, the PayPal notification ended up in my junk folder, and I missed it. As a result, PayPal processed a refund of £[redacted] to the buyer. I have reached out to PayPal, but have not received a resolution. 1. I do not have a PayPal account, but there was one registered under Mr. Leigh Hills using my email [redacted], when he dated my daughter around 12 years ago. I've tried in the past to have the account closed as Leigh Hills is no longer associated with my email address, but was told I needed his authorization, which I cannot obtain. I still wish for the account to be closed. 2. The mentioned account has never had my current mobile number linked to it. Today, at 13:56, I received a suspicious text from an unknown number stating there was irregular activity on my account and provided a link. I believe this is a fraudulent attempt. Hello, I recently bought a sweatshirt on 'Depop' using PayPal, described as 'brand new with tags.' Unfortunately, upon arrival, it was evident that the item had stains and tags that were reattached, indicating it was not brand new. After filing a dispute on PayPal, which got escalated due to the seller's refusal to refund, my account got closed as I had opened it when I was 17. Despite winning the dispute, the money remains in the closed account with me still holding the sweatshirt. I seek PayPal's help to transfer the funds from my closed account to another active one or my bank account, given my current limited access. Additionally, I'm unsure about the legal requirement to return the item, especially since neither PayPal nor Depop has contacted me, while the seller is pressuring me to return it by threatening involvement of ActionFraud/Police. I have filed a complaint about an order I made that I never received. After the seller did not respond, I escalated the issue with PayPal on October 25th. On the 26th, the seller claimed they had shipped the item, which is suspicious because it was sent the day after PayPal contacted them, despite me ordering it four weeks ago. The item I received today was not the large sit-on dinosaur I ordered for my son but a small one no bigger than a child's hand. This is clearly a scam, and the company seems to have hastily sent this item after being contacted by PayPal. I am upset about this treatment and unwilling to pay for something I did not order. I am unable to provide feedback on the Resolution Center, so I hope this issue gets resolved soon.

My husband passed away 11 years ago. I provided PayPal with the death certificate to close the account, but they didn't close it. I've attempted several times to have them close the account with no success. I recently received an email stating they will be charging for an inactive account. I can't reach PayPal because the login is in my husband's name. I will try calling them, but this situation is very distressing. How can this issue be resolved?

I recently encountered an issue with the SIM card in my mobile phone. Unfortunately, the phone number linked to the account is inaccessible, making it impossible to transfer the number. I obtained a new SIM card with a new number and attempted to update my PayPal account with it. However, I am unable to confirm the new number without the verification code sent to my old number. Due to no longer having access to that number, I am unable to complete the confirmation process on PayPal. I have searched for solutions on the PayPal online help section but have not found guidance on this particular situation. Can anyone provide advice on how to move forward with this issue?

I bought a computer chair on June 24th from eBay for £[redacted].99 using PayPal. The chair now has 2 faults, so I contacted the seller for replacements. They agreed to replace the parts for free, but I need to pay for shipping. I suggested 3 options to resolve the issue, but we haven't made progress. eBay mentioned they have a 30-day policy. I believe I should receive a full service and 12-month warranty as I paid the full price in good faith. Can PayPal assist in this situation?

I am having trouble making a purchase as I am being prompted for authentication and asked for a code via text or mobile phone. The mobile number displayed (07... ..[redacted]) is not mine. Kindly send the authentication code to my registered mobile phone or provide an alternative method. It is essential for me to complete the purchase and for the seller to receive payment. Thank you.

I bought three items from Airydress on November 16th. Unfortunately, the quality was very poor and not as advertised. The website displayed knitwear, but what I received was printed on nylon. I attempted to contact the supplier, as the site instructs, but it seems impossible to reach them. Despite the website stating free returns, I couldn't find a way to process it. I sent the parcel back to the postal address, which is Unit 9, post code UB7 8EB, based on the certificate of posting. The payment through PayPal shows as going to ZC Holding (HK) Limited. After researching, I discovered similar complaints from others about this company. It's disheartening, and I believe they should be removed from PayPal's supported list. I returned the items yesterday and am hoping for a refund with your assistance, as dealing directly with this company seems futile. The site appears reputable but is far from it. I recently changed bank accounts and deactivated my old debit card at the bank's request. I updated my new bank details on my PayPal account. Recently, I received a refund from a prior purchase, but it went to my old card which is no longer valid. I've tried contacting PayPal about this issue but have not found a resolution, and it feels like a never-ending cycle. I contacted the merchant, Marks & Spencer, who advised me to resolve it with PayPal. I also attempted to call their toll-free number, but waiting for over an hour without success led me to give up. I am experiencing difficulty accessing my account due to the verification system requiring a mobile phone, which I do not possess. I have been attempting to resolve this for the past 9 days, speaking with a total of 6 individuals who have been unsuccessful in resolving the issue. Despite promises from various representatives to unlock my account, I have not been able to log in. One individual directed me to a Messenger link, which I cannot utilize without account access. Another advised waiting 24 hours to unlock the account, followed by another stating it would take 48 hours for security to address it. I attempted a callback option, but did not receive a call. After waiting for over an hour on the phone until my battery depleted, I am left with £[redacted] in my account designated for holiday shopping during the lockdown. I have registered my landline as an alternative, yet it cannot receive texts. Being 75 years old with mobility challenges and no available family support, I urgently seek a practical resolution to access my funds.

In November [redacted], I reached out to PayPal regarding an issue with a seller in China. Despite requesting a payment cancellation due to not receiving the product, PayPal stated no dispute existed as the seller had verified payment. Instead of a PS4, I received a plastic phone case. I have attempted to contact PayPal for resolution, but am stuck in a loop. I seek assistance in recovering the £[redacted].00 payment for an item worth only £1.00, as it is not the product I ordered. I need to cancel a preapproved payment on my PayPal account. Despite receiving a code via email and updating my password, I still cannot log in successfully. I want to start fresh by creating a new account. I am hoping for a phone call from PayPal at [redacted]7 to speak with a representative and resolve all the issues with my account.
