I have been contacted by multiple members of your service regarding the issue of being charged for accessing messages on the supposedly free online dating platform. This practice is described as extortion, as the service is misleading users by claiming to be free when it actually requires payment to view messages. Many individuals, including myself, are sharing this experience online to alert others about this misleading claim of being a free service. I have attempted numerous times to contact customer support via phone and email with no response. I am considering taking legal action against this misleading practice if the issue is not addressed promptly. It is frustrating to not be able to speak with a representative to resolve this matter.

My account has been hacked, and someone has replaced my picture and bio with someone else's information. The hacker is posing as a different person, trying to interact with older men by leaving false contact details. I've tried changing my password multiple times to regain access without success. Even after changing it, the hacker reverts it back. I attempted to use the password reset link, but it's not functioning. I've reached out to POF through emails, but they haven't resolved the issue. The situation is escalating, and if I manage to log in, I plan to delete my account.

I created a free account on POF yesterday, and I managed to log in last night but can't access my account today. It seems like many others are facing the same problem based on the forum posts I read. I tried to reset my password, but I didn't receive the reset email despite multiple attempts from different email addresses and my phone. I am not tech-savvy and can't access forums for help. One user mentioned setting up a USA VPN as a possible solution, but I don't know how to do it. I was looking forward to chatting with people who messaged me, as I received emails until midnight but now can't log in. I would like to cancel my membership and receive a full refund of all money paid in the last 48 hours. I already cancelled through Apple iTunes and received confirmation that it will be processed. I am confused as to why POF asked for more money for an upgrade after I requested cancellation. I mistakenly provided my credit card information for the upgrade. Please refund the upgrade fee as I no longer wish to use the service. Due to illness, I am not currently employed, and money is tight. I have tried calling your company multiple times from early afternoon until tonight with no success. It has been incredibly frustrating, and I now want my account deleted. I have spent countless hours in the past few days trying to navigate away from disturbing individuals on the site who somehow obtained my phone number. One even went as far as to share my address, made alarming statements, and referenced being armed. I feel unnerved and have documented everything on my phone, including the individual's first name, Ken. I am at a loss for what is happening with all these unsettling calls. Please, just delete my profile. I have had enough and will not be using dating sites again. Lesson learned.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I have received recently. During my time on the platform, I have encountered individuals who have behaved inappropriately, with one individual even going so far as to send explicit images through messaging. On top of this, I have faced other issues such as difficulties reaching customer support, experiencing phone call disconnects, and encountering problems with resetting my password. Despite being provided with a temporary password, I still cannot access my account to delete it myself. The continuous issues I have faced have led me to the decision to leave the site immediately. The entire situation has been frustrating, especially considering the inappropriate messages I have received. I am requesting assistance in permanently deleting my account as soon as possible.

Hello, I'm Mike. I'm having an issue with the POF app's search engine on my iPhone 7. Normally, when I refresh an advanced search sorted by "Last Visit," most of the users shown are "Online Now" with green text next to their names. However, after changing only the radius on a recent search refresh, the users are now randomly sorted, with the majority not appearing online. Despite reinstalling the app and logging out/in, the problem persists. Is there a way to fix this glitch and have the search display Online Now users at the top again? It's crucial for me to see who is online to improve my chances of getting responses. I hope I've described the issue clearly. Thank you.

I, Amber G., recently discovered that my husband created a POF account on June 3, [redacted]. However, the account was not fully updated, hindering me from obtaining evidence of his infidelity for divorce. Due to a cracked phone screen, I inadvertently accessed the $71.99 upgraded user info and was charged via PayPal when my screen froze. Although a refund of $76.76 was indicated, it went to my husband’s unlinked checking account, not his PayPal. Despite no PayPal record, his bank statement shows a PayPal phone number. I seek a refund dated June 26, [redacted], posted on June 27, [redacted], for Phil G., username Poppyphil1984, of Jackson, NJ [redacted], with card ending in [redacted]. I hold screenshots of the refund notification in iTunes and the unreimbursed checking account charge for further proof if necessary.

To whom it may concern, Despite previously contacting you, I am still receiving emails from Plenty of Fish indicating interest from others. I deactivated my Plenty of Fish account over a year ago. Given the recent privacy regulations, why am I still being contacted? My information should have been removed by now. Following the birth of our baby, my partner has noticed these emails on my phone, causing unnecessary strain on our relationship. My former girlfriend caused me to be banned from POF, and subsequently from Tinder and OkCupid. I held active paid subscriptions on all three platforms and didn't violate any rules. Dealing with this situation has been frustrating as one person's actions resulted in my accounts being removed. While POF approved a refund, I still need to resolve this with Tinder and OkCupid to get my money back. I am puzzled by how POF's actions can impact other dating sites. Could this be related to the connection with Facebook? It appears there is a broader issue at play, as POF shouldn't have the authority to ban users across multiple platforms.

I registered with my Gmail today and received several emails from POF throughout the day notifying me of messages from other members. Tonight, when I tried to log in, my password was not accepted. Despite numerous password reset attempts, I did not receive the reset email from POF. The emails from other POF members also stopped coming to my Gmail account. After contacting POF for help, I was advised that someone in New Mexico had accessed my account. They recommended transferring me to Secure4Sure for assistance at a cost of $69.99. Feeling suspicious, I disconnected the call. I am now unable to reach POF to resolve the password issue and am considering deleting my profile, although I cannot do so without logging in.

I have been a member of Plenty of Fish for several years under the name Heartsxox. However, I have been unable to access my account for the past 8 to 10 months despite multiple attempts to reset my password. Despite being told that I would receive an email to change the password, I never receive any notifications. I recently created a new account, uploaded new photos, and even received an acceptance email for my new profile. But after logging out and trying to log back in, I faced the same issue of the system not recognizing my email or password. I attempted to contact customer service using an old phone number without success. The situation is confusing and frustrating.

I tried to create the username "solemnreality," but I mistakenly ended up with "solemnrelaity." Confirmation was sent to the email provided, but I can't access the account. Despite several password attempts, I can't log in. I keep getting prompted to use a different username when I try "solemnreality." It seems there was a typo in the email address used for the account confirmation. Resetting the password doesn't work as I don't receive any responses at that email.
