I contacted the Super 8 in Rockford, Illinois in August to cancel my reservation. They informed me today that they are unsure if the cancellation was processed due to unreliable staff at the time and ongoing computer issues. Despite always canceling in advance to avoid charges and understanding the motel procedures from my front desk experience, I was still charged. This unexpected charge has caused my bank account to go into the negative, placing me in financial distress. This situation needs urgent attention to resolve the error promptly.

I recently stayed at Super 8 in Ionia, MI, and was surprised to find a $[redacted] deposit taken from my card without prior notice. Upon checking out, I also discovered an additional $[redacted] charge. When I inquired at the front desk about the double deposit and the high charges, the staff member was unhelpful and rude. I am simply looking to have these extra charges refunded as I did not even end up staying in the room I was charged three times for.

I have been staying at this hotel for five days. Two days ago, when it was check-out time, housekeeping knocked on our door while we were still sleeping. My fiancé said he would get dressed, and we wanted to pay for another night. After about 25 minutes, I got up to take my dog outside, but I was stopped by housekeeping once again. I felt mistreated by the staff member who said she would lock me out of my room. It turns out my boyfriend had been trying to pay downstairs, but no one was helping him. The customer service here is not good. The staff at this hotel are very unpleasant and rude. I doubt you will have many returning guests with this kind of service. Additionally, the hotel is not being well-maintained, which is giving it a bad reputation. The management should work on improving the service and maintaining the property better.

After undergoing surgery, I stayed at the Super 8 on Sunshine Run Road. Although they didn't have any handicap rooms due to renovations, I encountered hazardous conditions in my room. The door in room [redacted] couldn't close because the hinges were falling off, and there were loose cords on the floor. While using a walker, I tripped over some cords and fell into a light fixture that was unnecessarily left in place. The room was dirty, with piles of dirt behind the TV. The bed was unstable, and there was an exposed iron bar. Despite requesting help to fix the door multiple times, no action was taken until later in the evening. The front desk initially claimed there were no other rooms available, but I found four identical rooms on Priceline. I've paid for four days but would like a refund or to be moved to a safer room, as I hurt my chest when I fell. I can provide pictures of the room to showcase the unsafe conditions. - Michele A.

I made a reservation requesting a ground-floor room because of my service dog, not specifying a smoking room. Upon arrival, I had to rearrange things at the front desk, even though I had arranged them over the phone beforehand. The receptionist only offered us a room with a double bed, neglecting my request for a ground-floor room. Later, I had to clarify with the staff about a $[redacted] deposit due to being a local resident, which was not mentioned during my phone reservation. Despite asking for a detailed receipt, I was told it couldn't be provided. The air conditioner in the room was malfunctioning, making loud noises, and the room had maintenance issues like a broken shelf and missing filter. Being a local resident caused unexpected inconveniences that should have been communicated earlier.

My boyfriend and I have been staying at the Altoona location for a few days while I'm in my hometown visiting. On the fifth night (the Thursday before the July 4th weekend), they informed us that it would have to be our last night. I am 26, and he is 24. We are on a budget, and this is the most affordable place in the area. When I inquired if we had done something wrong, the manager responded, "OMG, no, it's not personal," while casually looking at the computer and mentioning they needed the room for another guest that night. The manager then remarked, "Well, you guys have a car," to which I asked, "So we're supposed to stay in our car?!" Additionally, I hadn't mentioned that his ex unexpectedly brought their two kids (ages 13 months and 3 years) the night before, adding to the difficulty of the situation.

I called to reserve a room at your hotel, and when we arrived, the staff accommodated us promptly. However, we later discovered that we were at a different location than the one we had booked. Despite staying at a Super Eight, it was not the one we intended to stay in. The individual I spoke to did not mention a no-show fee, yet we were charged $99 for a room we did not use. This amount is significant to my family of five, particularly given the current circumstances. Stranded due to our vehicle breaking down, we had no alternative but to find a place for the night with our young children - ages 8, 5, and 1. We urgently needed a safe place to stay. Kindly consider refunding us for the unused room. Thank you.

I attempted to book a room and paid for it at the front desk. The staff member gave me a hard time about not being able to cover the incidental fees and room cost with my card. Despite trying to pay the full amount, I was $11 short. I politely asked if I could use my card for the incidental fee and pay the rest in cash, but she did not allow it. She mentioned refunding the money back to my card and not letting me stay, which I agreed to, but she was supposed to refund the room payment to my card. Now, months later, my credit card company contacted me regarding a dispute I made, but it was canceled as all the charges matched my information although I didn't even stay at the hotel. I want to resolve this as I was not permitted to stay and lost $81 or $82. Unfortunately, I cannot reach the previous staff member as they no longer work there. I frequently used to stay at Super 8 and spent a significant amount of money. I am hoping to have the charge reinstated on my card, as the reversal caused me to have a negative balance.

My family and I recently encountered a disappointing issue with the Super 8 in Lloydminster. We had booked a room for a gathering and needed to cancel to gain earlier access for preparation. Unfortunately, when we contacted the hotel, the lady we spoke with was unhelpful and insisted that we would be charged regardless. Despite our understanding of not being able to access the room sooner, her arrogant and rude demeanor was off-putting. She abruptly ended the call by stating we would be charged and later left a voicemail threatening to blacklist us for lacking communication skills. When we called back, she promptly hung up. We are uncertain if we were charged, but the treatment we received left us extremely disappointed. We are seeking assistance to address this matter, as we believe the way we were treated was unacceptable. If charged, we kindly request a refund for the inconvenience caused. Thank you.

My daughter and I recently stayed at the Super 8 in Kennewick, Washington on Columbia Boulevard. We had some issues with the card used for incidentals and requested to transfer the funds to another card. However, after checking out, the staff accused us of damaging furniture, which we did not do. I am 60 years old and my daughter is 40, and all we did was talk and sleep during our stay. I am a bit restless due to recent health issues, and it is important for me to speak to a professional who can clarify what the alleged damage is. The staff have been unhelpful, laughing, and playing games, which is frustrating as I am a grown woman and a former business owner. I am eager to resolve this matter and would appreciate a call from a manager to address the situation. Thank you.

I resided at Motel 8 in Lewisburg, WV for a few months and paid a sizable amount for my stay. I faced homelessness and received assistance from various agencies. Occasionally, I couldn't make payments on time, but was given the opportunity to pay the next day. I was recently evicted due to an alleged outstanding balance. A staff member named Becky mentioned that the manager had not been properly recording my payments. This situation has left me unable to return to the motel despite having accumulated Wyndham points that I am unable to utilize. I believe both the staff and I share responsibility for this issue. I had even offered to work there to pay off any dues from my paycheck, but my request was declined. I hope for a resolution as I am currently without a place to stay.

My wife and I checked in around 4 a.m. this morning while traveling from Bristol, VA. At approximately 11:30 a.m., we were awakened by what sounded like someone hammering wood. Upon investigation, there were two men working directly outside our window. They were not being considerate and the noise was extremely loud and disruptive. When I spoke to the front desk, the receptionist was unhelpful and impolite. She mentioned they needed to work on the windows, but did not provide an estimated completion time. Two and a half hours later, they were still outside our window. This hotel experience has been the worst. The inconsistent policies enforced by different front desk clerks are frustrating. One clerk charged my card for a deposit, while another asked for a cash deposit upon check-in. I declined. I even have a video recording of the disturbing noise we endured this morning. I have never requested a refund before, but this situation warrants it. In all honesty, based on my experience, I would not choose to stay here again, even for $5 a night. Thank you for addressing this issue. Thank you, D. Mullins.

On Saturday night, I attempted to stay at the Super Eight Motel in Bradenton, Florida. Upon entering the room and discovering numerous bedbugs, I requested a refund from the office. Although initially denied, I was eventually coerced into looking at another room, which I declined. Despite being kept on the phone with my bank, the motel retracted the refund without consent, leading to unnecessary financial complications. I plan to report this incident to the authorities as it constitutes theft and credit card fraud. The ordeal has caused disruptions to my account and necessitates acquiring a new card. Given the inconvenience, I expect a prompt response from the motel regarding this matter before I proceed with legal action. My contact number is [redacted]. Thank you, Stephen M.

I had a disappointing experience at the [redacted] Rusina Road Colorado Springs, CO location with an employee named Mary. Her attitude was unpleasant, and I observed instances of mistreatment and discrimination towards customers. Mary seemed disinterested in assisting me when I requested basic items like toilet paper and Kleenex, which I found unacceptable. Her behavior, including speaking negatively about guests in public areas, was unprofessional and disrespectful. I strongly believe that customer service should be a priority, and Mary's behavior does not align with that. It's concerning that she is still employed there despite her apparent lack of regard for customers. My interaction with Mary left me frustrated, and I would caution others against visiting this establishment until the issue is addressed. Mary's conduct reflects poorly on the company, and improvements should be made to ensure all customers are treated respectfully.

I made a reservation at Super 8 using the Wyndham app. Upon arrival, the desk clerk couldn't find my reservation, despite me having a confirmation. I ended up making a new reservation through Priceline for $11 more. The clerk then charged me for the room he initially claimed I didn't have. I'd like a refund of $57.97, the difference from the original rate of $48.18 that I had to pay for a room.

I am a person with disabilities and recently faced issues in my apartment, prompting me to seek a room for the night with my pet due to seizures. However, as a local resident, I was unable to secure a room locally due to a policy restriction. A friend had to book the room in their name, only to later attempt to claim the room for themselves. After requesting the front desk to transfer the room to my name, they reluctantly did so. Unfortunately, the friend refused to leave, as the hotel staff failed to update the room's ownership despite my payment. I had to sleep in my car, feeling disappointed and out of $[redacted]. I am distressed by the situation, as my companion enjoyed the room I paid for. My name is Jolie Jordan.

I noticed a double charge on my card today which was not authorized. I appreciate that you have refunded the money, but it has not yet been made available in my bank account. It will take 3 to 10 business days, leaving me with only $19 available. As a result, I am unable to cover my room or bills due to this error. I kindly request an immediate refund to my account within hours to resolve this issue promptly. Your prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated.

My wife, Erica, and I, Daniel Moore, faced eviction two weeks ago, losing most of our belongings. Since then, we've been staying at Super 8 on Wyndham Rd & I-10 in Beaumont, TX. Despite having a reservation for 5-28, upon checking in, my wife was stopped by the manager who incorrectly claimed I only paid for one guest and demanded an additional $15. After my confirmation, my wife was allowed in, but the supervisor's behavior made us uneasy. This is not the first time we've had issues; previously, our keys were deactivated early. I feel uncomfortable with the way my wife was treated and would like a refund as I refuse to pay for mistreatment towards her.

My family and I reserved a room in Missoula, Montana, on Brook Street. Unfortunately, the first room we were given wasn't clean. There were dirty towels on the floor, and the bed remained unmade. The second room wasn't much better - the bedspreads were soiled with what appeared to be excrement. It was very unpleasant, and we couldn't bring ourselves to stay. One would expect better cleanliness standards, especially post-COVID. We have stayed at Super 8 locations numerous times before, but this was by far the most disappointing experience we've had.

During my recent stay at the Super 8 located at [redacted] W Tower Rd in Rapid City, SD, I encountered numerous issues that greatly disappointed me. Despite being quoted a price of $81 per night online, I was informed upon calling the hotel that this rate did not include taxes, leading to a total bill of $[redacted].75 for three nights. Upon entering room [redacted], I observed cigarette burns on the carpet, bubbling ceiling, and falling plaster. The bathroom door would not close, the exhaust fan had no cover or functionality, and there were dirty, broken tiles along with mold on the walls and ceiling. Additionally, cleanliness concerns extended to the hallways, stairs, and ice machine. Lack of proper maintenance was evident with potholes in the parking lot. I kindly request a reduction in room rates to reflect the initially advertised price of $81 per night. Otherwise, I must express my extreme dissatisfaction with the overall state of the hotel and consider alternative lodging options in the future.
