I received a call from the Social Security Administration regarding the way my law settlement income was reported on my tax return. I made sure to follow all the prompts and answer all the related questions accurately while e-filing. The settlement was for $[redacted] in lost wages (W-2) and $5,[redacted] in non-wage related damages ([redacted]-misc). However, on the completed tax return, the entire $10,[redacted] was listed under wages. The SSA is requesting clarification and confirmation that this income was accurately reported and filed.

I completed my [redacted] tax return using TurboTax while stationed in Japan. I inadvertently entered only the last four digits of my bank account number in the designated field for depositing my refund. Despite reaching out to both TurboTax and the IRS several times, I have not received assistance. This issue is complicating my current financial aid application process. My tax refund of $1,[redacted] for [redacted] has not been received yet, and I am unsure about the next steps. Thank you.

I signed up for auto-renewal for TurboTax Deluxe after using Premier in the past. Despite opting out of Premier before, I was still charged for it in the last two years. In [redacted], I successfully had the charges reversed. I thought the issue was resolved, but I unexpectedly received both [redacted] versions this year addressed to my old information: Donald S., 1 Grandview Landing, Hague, VA [redacted]. I have since updated my address on my account.

I have a query regarding a charge on my checking account. My tax return only included a TX Medicaid/CHIP form for my son and an Obamacare form for myself. I had to pay $59.99 for the version I purchased, which I find unreasonable. The fee was not deducted from my taxes, instead, it caused my account to be overdrawn by $35 just five days before Christmas. I am a single parent currently in the process of applying for Social Security Disability benefits and receiving food stamps. Is there any way to address this charge, perhaps by offering a discount? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you - C. Atchley

Hello everyone, I followed the instructions and emailed "[redacted]" weeks ago but have not received a response yet. Simply put, I am still waiting for my [redacted] tax return. I updated my address to ensure the new card gets to my current location. What should be my next course of action to receive a new card with my [redacted] tax return? My claim number is [redacted]3, in case it's needed. Thanks, Brian

On December 20, [redacted], I attempted to retrieve my [redacted] tax returns but encountered difficulties downloading them. To proceed, I was prompted to create an account where I provided my credit card details resulting in an unexpected charge. I no longer utilize TurboTax services and did not intend to make any purchases. I am seeking a refund for the transaction. The order number associated with this is TTWCB[redacted]79, and the product in question is the TurboTax Online Self Employed Tax Year [redacted] Preparation package.

Last year, my daughter and I were living with my brother, and I allowed him to claim my daughter since I wasn't employed and we had not submitted proof of residency with him. However, they mentioned that he owed taxes from [redacted]. Now, my daughter and I reside with my mom, and I am considering letting her claim my daughter this year. I am uncertain if this arrangement will cause any issues due to my brother claiming her last year without receiving his tax refund for that year.

I have a question about selling my home that I need help with. I am a single father with a 24-year-old daughter living with me, and I plan on retiring in the next 2 years. When I sell my home, I expect to make around $[redacted],[redacted]. I intend to split the proceeds 50/50 with my daughter, who is on the title but not the loan. My question is, when it comes to taxes, do I need to report the full sale amount of the house or just $[redacted],[redacted] for each of us since she will be receiving half of the proceeds? I am also considering moving out of state, and she plans to use her share to buy a home in California. I want to be prepared before selling the house. Thank you.

I recently realized that I paid $80 for a tax return that took less than 10 minutes to complete. When I finished, I was informed that I couldn't report student loan interest on the free version and had to upgrade to the deluxe version for $40. However, my refund didn't increase at all when I added the student loan interest. Additionally, I was charged another $40 for processing, which seems unnecessary. I'm not getting much back in my refund this year due to caring for disabled family members part-time, and I feel like I didn't receive any added benefits for the extra money I spent on the tax service. Is there any way to get a full or partial refund for these unexpected charges? Thank you for your help and understanding, I await your response.

I utilized TurboTax for my tax returns last summer. Unfortunately, I no longer possess the required document. Consequently, I attempted to access my TurboTax account but faced difficulties due to a forgotten password. As I tried to reset the password by following the specified steps on the website, I received a verification code. However, upon entering the code, I was redirected to the login page without successfully changing the password. The platform now requests additional information for account verification, but some details are not applicable to me as a taxpayer residing overseas (such as a U.S. phone number or address). I am seeking assistance from a designated individual who can aid in resolving this matter promptly.

While completing my tax filing on TurboTax, I was informed that I had overpaid in Social Security taxes and could claim nearly $[redacted] by upgrading to the Deluxe version. After upgrading, the message disappeared, and I was directed to finish filing without receiving the $[redacted] credit. Not only was I not credited, but I was also charged extra for the Deluxe upgrade and for filing my state and federal returns. I am now required to pay an additional $[redacted] with no option to cancel the Deluxe upgrade. I have been a loyal customer since [redacted], but unless this issue is resolved and I receive the $[redacted] back from my tax return, I will have to seek services elsewhere.

I have been a loyal TurboTax user for years and I am currently working on my [redacted] tax returns. However, I have encountered a repetitive issue with the software. Each time I log in, I am prompted to enter my license code to "activate" the program. This is frustrating because in the past, I only had to activate it once upon the initial download. Manually typing in the code each time is tedious, especially since I cannot copy and paste it from my receipt. Is this a deliberate design choice or a glitch in the program?

I am frustrated with TurboTax as it seems to prioritize profits over helping hardworking individuals file their taxes. When trying to file, I was unexpectedly asked to upgrade to the "Deluxe edition" for an additional cost. I reluctantly paid $39.99 for this upgrade, only to be declined for the tax refund advance I had also signed up for using the Turbo Visa prepaid card. This experience has made me realize that TurboTax is becoming more complicated every year, adding to the stress of an already challenging process. Despite spending over six hours navigating the "free" online edition, my wife and I have not been able to file our taxes. Due to these frustrations, I have decided to no longer use TurboTax for my [redacted] refund and am requesting a full refund of $39.99 plus tax for the deluxe edition I was misled into purchasing. Thank you for your assistance over the past seven years.

Hello, I am Larry H. and a long-time TurboTax user. This tax season, I discovered TurboTax allowed me to electronically submit my small company's [redacted] and [redacted] forms. I attempted this yesterday but only received confirmation for the [redacted], not the [redacted]. Reviewing my account, I noticed the [redacted] was filled out for State returns. After a 45-minute wait, the IRS confirmed that when electronically filing 1099s, a separate [redacted] transmittal is unnecessary. While I no longer need to file the [redacted] separately, I seek reassurance that the IRS-accepted [redacted] has been sent to the independent contractor using the listed address. TurboTax lacks clarity on these specifics. If possible, please reach out to me at [redacted].

On January 26th, I submitted my state and federal taxes using TurboTax and applied for a rapid refund advance, which was approved. After my income taxes were accepted on January 28th, I received an email that the money was deposited into my online TurboTax debit card account. Despite creating the online account on the same day I filed my taxes and confirming my credentials, I have been unable to access my account for a day and a half due to it being locked. The system prompts me to enter card details, but I haven't received the physical card yet. I tried contacting customer service but didn't receive assistance. I urgently need access to my online account to retrieve my money.

Subject: Regarding TurboTax Case Closure Dear TurboTax Team, I would like to address the closure of my case, number [redacted]23. Upon completing my federal taxes and moving on to the Pennsylvania state tax forms, I encountered an issue due to the state's tax exemption for pensioners. Despite seeking assistance from your support line, I faced technical difficulties and was unable to proceed, eventually leading to being unable to access my forms. Subsequent conversations with agents 'DeLona', 'Mika', and 'Cresha' did not provide a resolution, leaving me locked out of my account. I am disappointed by the lack of progress and the drop in call, as well as the multiple holds and changing of passwords without success. I intend to contact support again on Monday, but I kindly request to be connected with a competent agent who can unlock my account promptly, allowing me to finalize my federal taxes. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, TJAXFF

Hello, my name is Allen Grengs. I filed my [redacted] tax return with TurboTax last year, and now I am trying to do the same for my [redacted] return. I still have access to the same email I used before and have my password written down. I can log into my TurboTax Intuit prepaid card account to check details of a card I lost months ago. I provided my social security number for recovery options, but I am facing issues. The phone number I had, which was [redacted], is no longer in use. During the security questions, only one seemed familiar regarding my address and living in Contra Costa County. I selected that, but it was not accepted. Please contact me as soon as possible with any information or help you can provide. Thank you.

I would like to file using a W-2 form. In [redacted], I relocated permanently from the US to Germany. My mobile phone number has also changed since then. Unfortunately, I forgot my Turbotax password. When trying to reset it, Turbotax only displays my outdated mobile phone number. The "try something else" button does not function, as Turbotax does not recognize my previous address. I attempted to create a new account for filing taxes, but Turbotax requests the AGI from last year's return, which I do not possess. I believe resetting the password for my original account would be the best course of action, but I have been unsuccessful thus far. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I am disappointed with the $[redacted] charge to file my three W-2 forms with no deductions. Despite trying to correct the mistake during the filing process, the system did not allow any changes. I am frustrated with being forced to pay for the deluxe filing when a simple one would have sufficed. TurboTax mentioned there would be no refund, leaving me feeling stuck. I have already lodged complaints with various agencies, including the Better Business Bureau. After over a decade of using TurboTax, I regret that I will not be using their services again. I do not anticipate help or a call back; I just want this situation resolved.

Hello, I was working on my taxes yesterday, and after making some changes, I now see that I'm being charged for something unexpected. I have used Turbotax for over five years without issue. I spoke with a representative yesterday who advised me to navigate to a specific section and click on "taxtool" to clear it and start over. However, I couldn't find the "taxtool" option, even though I'm sure it was there before. Just to clarify, I have not signed and filed my taxes yet, and I did not buy Turbotax Deluxe or Max. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
