Good morning, I took my family to London from *st to *th November. On the evening of the *nd we caught the tube to Euston Station & I had to use your store on the concourse to purchase a note pad, before we walked back to our hotel. I took this to the cashier & clearly remember him saying £* something was the price. I didn’t purchase any other items, paid by contactless & thankfully kept the receipt. I didn’t think anymore until a few days ago when I went through how much we had spent during our stay, checking my receipts against my bank & credit card. I saw a purchase of £**.** at WH Smith, I had no idea what this was, then checked my receipt & find I had also been charged for * x Mr Parkers Tea Parti Mult (whatever these are) at £*.** on top of my note pad. I don’t know what has taken place & maybe wrongly am assuming the member of staff is putting items on customers bills, knowing the majority are probably contactless & we don’t check the machine when presenting our card & then taking money for themselves. I admit I should have checked my receipt at the time, but when you have * young children it’s getting late & you want to get back to the hotel, you don’t think of that. Especially when you are told at the till the cost of the items is roughly what you expect to pay. I would like to know what you will now do about this. I still have the receipt & can provide you with a copy if necessary. I was in the store at **:** hrs & served by Marios. If you check your store cctv which I assume you will have for that time, you’ll clearly see I only buy a note pad & am wearing a dark blue hooded bomber type parka jacket if you need to identify me.
